The voices in your head were louder than usual this morning, and for good reason. Something had occurred today, before you’d left the house; something awful. You didn’t want to think about it, but the scenes that had played out kept returning, causing you to bury yourself in shame and regret.

And that shame and regret twisted itself round in your mind till it turned into unfathomable rage. Not to mention that damn polka from last night was on repeat in your head.

By the time you arrived at school, you were simply a mess of uncontainable anger, your frustration and pure fury leaking out from you in all directions. Almost everyone could physically feel your wrath, which earned you more than a few stares of confusion and fear, but you couldn’t give less of a shit.

“Useless, lazy, fucking cunts,” you cursed, storming up the steps.

Morning, (Y/n)!” oh god, it was too early to deal with Lila. “I forgot to tell you, I’ve been to London a few times! I’ve gone to Westminster Abbey with my mum

Lila, I’m really not in the mood, so please leave me alone,” you hissed, stuffing your hands in your pockets, and stalking past her.

Even the liar herself had enough sense not to bother you right now; most students did as well; Marinette, Juleka, Alix, Nathaniel and Chloé observed you worriedly, nobody dared speak to you, recognising that you needed some space right now. Quite smart of them really, they probably wouldn’t get a great answer.

All except for one person.

(Y/n)? Is something wrong? You seem a little… off,” Adrien settled for, joining you as you arrived at the stairs leading to the classroom.

You gritted your teeth, your hand clenching at your side. You really, really didn’t want to hurt Adrien, knowing how sensitive he was, but how could you tell him to fuck off nicely?

Adrien, I’m really sorry but I’m really angry right now, so I need some space,” you finally spat out, sounding a lot more malicious than you intended.

Oh… ok, but please try not to get too worked up!”

You knew he meant well, you knew, but right now it sounded like the most condescending thing in the world to you, so you turned round, and shouted right in his face, “Shut up!”

Adrien stumbled back, caught off guard by your outburst, quickly becoming hurt, and avoiding your gaze sadly. A wave of guilt overcame you, quickly adding to the immense amount of imploding angst in your system, and you bit your lip so hard you thought it might bleed.

What’s going on with you, (Y/n)?” Lila spoke up, from the bottom of the staircase. “You were really rude to me a few minutes ago, and now you’re being rude to Adrien! Why are you being so mean?”

In an instant, multiple sets of eyes were on you, demanding an explanation for your actions. Some people even looked hostile now, more than questioning, as if Lila had suddenly become the victim of an atrocious hate crime. It made you even more enraged than before, the sneering, fake sympathy in her face was making you want to throw up all over her ugly outfit; talk about a damn karma chameleon.

Is something going on? You can tell us, I’m sure we’ll understand,” she swiftly morphed into the caring, kind girl who would ‘fix’ the bully, though she moved up the stairs, closing in on you and Adrien like a predator. “Did something happen this morning? Did you get in trouble?
