Draco noticed that Hermione was being jumpy for the past few days, at first he thought it was the announcement of the future Potter
Now he wasn't so sure
He walked into the kitchen and saw her washing dishes
"Did I do something?" He asked
She stilled her movements and turned to him
"What?"
"You've been avoiding me like the plague, you don't look at me, you don't talk to me, Hermione please...don't shut me out" he pleaded softly
Hermione opened her mouth to say something
"I'm sorry" he blurted out "whatever I did, whatever I said, I'm so sorry love—"
He was freaking out
He couldn't lose her again
"Draco—" she tried again
He would get on his knees to beg for forgiveness
"—I ask just one thing, please, don't leave me, I'm so sorry, I'll fix it whatever I did, just please don't call off the wedding—"
"Draco—"
"I love you too much, please—"
If she did leave him, she should still know how much he loved her
"Malfoy" she snapped
He stopped rambling
He may have also held his breath
She walked up to him like if he was a deer stuck in a headlight
She reached him and reached to cup his cheeks
He flinched slightly before he leaned into her touch and released the breath he was holding tightly
"I'm sorry" she apologized "I didn't—you did nothing darling" she assured
"Then why...why are you angry with me?" He whispered
"Oh Draco" she giggled softly "I'm not...I'm not angry—"
"Then why have you been avoiding me?"
Hermione saw the tears gathering in his eyes and felt her heart breaking
She kissed him and tried to convey all her emotions into the kiss, when she pulled back Draco was dazed and a smile played on his swollen lips
"Draco...Draco I—"
"What is it?"
Hermione felt a knot tightening in her neck
Hermione backed away from him and he reached for her, she stepped away from his grasp and wrapped her arms around her body
"Hermione—"
"I'm pregnant" she whispered
Draco paled and his hand felt limp by his side
They were at the same crossroad from six years ago but this time they had a family
"You're...you're...you're...you're pregnant?" He whispered softly
She nodded and Draco could see her retreating into her shell
Then the biggest smile broke out of his lips
"You're pregnant!"
He lifted her up and spun them around, she squealed in surprise as he laughed loudly
