Midnight
Cordelia was asleep.
She wanted to be a part of this,
But I wouldn't let her.
It wouldn't be a pretty sight for my new bride to see...
"Are you ready, Lucifer?" Diavolo was waiting in the shadows in the forest. We had to make sure we were far enough away from the mansion for the ritual so we didn't disturb anyone. "As ready as I'll ever be." I sighed. This ritual would be painful and complicated. I transformed into my demon form for the last time and took a deep breath. Stress, anxiety, and hatred brought me to this world. Now dedication, compassion, and love would keep me here. Cordelia was a whirlwind! She turned world upside down and in turn, I will give her the world. This is the first step to a life with only her, only us.

I stood in the circle Satan had surrounded by runes. My brothers' magic would be needed to pull of this ritual. On the other hand, they were here to inherit my magic. Each brother would gain more by me losing mine. It would be evenly distributed so their ranks still stayed the same, except Satan, because he was a part of me. He would now move to the number one spot, much to Mammon's disapproval. It took me a long time to get there, but I trusted Satan to take up my position and he in turn finally agreed to accept.

The ritual began and there was a hum around the circle as Diavolo began to speak. The words were all a blur in my head as the pain started to set it. I knew what would happen as I looked at each of my brothers. I would feel the pain of my horns and wings dissipating, feel the pain of my body being broken down through years of age, then repairing and restoring itself into a younger abled man, and finally, my magic being drained from my soul. On the upside, I would blackout and wake up the next day completely healthy. A fresh start as a human.

A growl in pain and then his eyes rolled in the back of his head. "Satan, will he really be okay?" Asmo worried. "Yes, he is our incredible older brother. He has always been strong enough, he will be alright." Satan replied confidently. As much as he never wanted to admit it, he would miss Lucifer bossing them all around. He did love him, he loved all of them. He knew that being the head of the household was a stressful and difficult position, but he knew he could handle it. He knew how Lucifer kept things. He just hoped he could live up to his expectation.

Beelzebub stood frozen, he could barely watch as his brother convulsed in agony. One by one the feathers stripped away from his wings, leaving a skeletal-like structure behind, which soon integrated into nothing. Mammon cringed as he watch the horns Lucifer so proudly wore fall to the ground as blood ran down the sides of his brother's face. Leviathan looked away his skin started to peel and flake when age caught up to him and he became withered and frail. Finally, Belphegor watched in amazement as the flesh began to reappear and heal into something that resembled his brother once more.

At this point, the magic had been distributed to the brothers and Lucifer had collapsed on the ground. Diavolo let down the barrier surrounding him and Beelzebub lifted him into his arms. It was time to take him back to Cordelia. Time for him to begin a new life, without them always by his side. It was bittersweet for them all but they would also be there for him like they knew he would be there for him. After all, his mansion was always open to them. All of them.
