Y/N's POV:

Dawn was approaching as we vanquished the last of the monsters. They seemed like dolls and we made quick work of them. The smiley boy with glowing braids wiped the imaginary sweat off his brows. As thrilling as the battle was, staying there forever was not an option. All was finished, and we parted ways.

In the east, a brilliant yellow sun was ascending. The air was humid and cool after the thunderstorm the night before. At the foot of the snowy mountain, I ordered a Fatui agent to send the precious jewel pendant, as well as an official letter, back to the majestic Zapolyarny Palace in the nation with the best economy, Snezhnaya.

I made a beeline for the harbor for an appointment with an arrogant and foolhardy Harbinger, who seemed to relish in getting his butt kicked by a fifteen-year-old adolescent. He bragged about it too, calling the adolescent a "worthy opponent" and stating that he should get some credit because at least he "survived" the ordeal, unlike someone...

Tch, he was just a child, for goodness sake! He might have saved Mondstadt from Dvalin, Liyue from Osial, and abolished the Vision Hunt Decree, vastly improving lives in Inazuma, but he was still a child! However, it was apparently the same murderous child who led a faithful and talented Harbinger, Rosalyne-Kruzchka Lohefalter aka La Signora, to her ultimate doom. A shame, really.

While I share Tartaglia's love for the thrill of battle, I certainly did not share his obsession with spoiling broke gods, sapping our bank reserve carelessly as though he had enough money to fill the ocean. Perhaps I should consider hiring a teacher to educate Morax about ordinary, everyday mortals and their daily lives if I wished for the Fatui to not go broke one day thanks to the dope. Pantalone would be livid if he heard that the youngest Harbinger was squandering his wealth on the Lord of Geo.

As I strolled along the outskirts of Mingyun Village, I spotted a Glaze Lily. Strange, it was incredibly rare to see them out in the wilderness, I thought. But its beauty captivated me. Its soft blue petals danced freely in the gentle breeze. A similarly-colored butterfly fluttered by and landed on the delicate petals softly, feeding on the sweet nectar to satisfy its hunger. I enjoyed these peaceful moments, where I could observe and study the flora and fauna in nature. However, neglecting my duties for such mindless pursuits would be considered indulgent for a Harbinger.

Sometimes, I ignored unimportant missions, but when I did start on them, I would always go the extra mile. Trained for battle since the age of five, I was able to make quick but smart decisions on the battlefield, which was why I was usually in an advantageous position. Stealth was also one of my specialties, which made me a great and reliable spy.

I chuckled to myself as I reflected on my experiences. "Life is full of light, joy, and promises," my parents used to tell me. I sighed with a bitter smile. What would they say now if they knew which path I chose?

I recalled how amazed the cute boy was when I presented him with the flowers I found at the Treasure Hoarders' camp. The decision to keep some of those Glaze Lilies was made then, just in case we meet again, by some shred of serendipity. My mind was occupied with the more recent events, like how gently he lifted me off the ground. What a great potential- I stopped my thoughts from going any further, for a cold person like me should just remain doing my damn job like I had for the past two centuries. Nobody truly cared about others, anyway, and with the amount of commitment required, even mere friends would be a huge waste of my precious time, let alone a partner.

The hustle and bustle of Liyue Harbor pulled me back to reality. I glanced at the time and decided that lunch was next on my to-do list. Gathering intel from that acquaintance of mine could come later.

The moment I stepped into the restaurant, the aroma of the scrumptious delicacies wafted through the air, making my mouth water. I chose the most expensive dish from the myriad of food available, because a person of great power, like me, deserved nothing less. As I wolfed down my delicious meal, savoring every bite, I espied a familiar figure out of the corner of my eye. His arrival was earlier than expected. According to the schedule, he should be at the docks in Snezhnaya. Tch, perhaps he returned earlier to have some "fun" with the gold-digger who happened to be the Geo Archon.

I went to have a word with him.
