Ocean waves dancing one on top of the other. A pirate ship pushing past the barrage of waves. Crew members walking across the ship to complete each other their delegated duties. This was none other than the infamous ship, the Alcor. And the crew, the Crux Fleet.

On the ship, a handsome white-haired boy comfortably sat atop the crow’s nest, eyes scanning the wide ocean of unknowns while blowing on a leaf and playing a few notes. His tailored yukata and tied hair blowing in the wind, he looked like a spirit who could fly away in the wind at any moment.

Looking down at the blue waves that rocked the ship, Kazuha noticed something that most definitely did not fit with the wildness of the ocean. It was none other than a person.

“Beidou,” Kazuha yelled from his post. “There’s someone floating near the starboard side of the ship.”

Running towards that area, Beidou pulled out a rope and attached it to a raft to pull the person from the water. Even though she was a pirate, Beidou didn’t approve of leaving someone off to die so at nearly any cost, she would save this person.

“Someone,” Beidou shouted out from the side of her ship while throwing out a raft at the floating person. “Help me out here!”

Jumping down and running up to the captain of the Crux Fleet, Kazuha took the end of the rope that Beidou was pulling and helped her.

After a few seconds of pulling the rope, an unconscious girl laid soaked on the floor of the ship. Kneeling down to get closer to the girl, Beidou pressed on her chest to try and get the water out of her lungs to save her.

“Hurry up and get me some towels,” Beidou ordered the rest of her crew.

Running around, the crew of the Alcor looked for towels to give to their captain who was currently trying to save the mystery girl. One of the crew members found a towel and immediately handed it to Beidou who wrapped the girl in it.

Looking up at Kazuha, she ordered, "Bring her to one of the extra rooms and wait for her to wake up. Call me when she does."

Quietly listening to Beidou's instructions, Kazuha carried the girl in his arms and brought her to one of the empty rooms at the bottom of the ship. Gently placing her in the bed, Kazuha stared at the sleeping girl.

How long had she been unconscious?

How long had she been in the ocean?

What happened?

Suddenly out of nowhere, the eyes of the girl flew open and she immediately sat up just as if she was sleeping and wasn’t found in the middle of the ocean. Her face void of any shock or surprise, the mystery girl looked at Kazuha with an aloof gaze. Eyes cloaked in a cover of understanding and discernment, the girl continued to make eye contact with the runaway from Inazuma.

After a while of a staring contest, the girl opened her mouth, “Thank you for your assistance. I can take care of myself from here. I am eternally grateful.”

Looking at the girl that he had carried with confusion, Kazuha couldn’t help but ask, “Aren't you shocked or anything to see yourself in a new room with a stranger like me?”

Grinning, the girl stood up and replied, “Not really.”

“Why not?” Kazuha questioned, suspicious of who this person would be since she didn’t react as people normally would. “Who knows what I could have done to you. Why aren’t you scared or something? I could have kidnapped you.”

Blinking in thought, the girl walked up to Kazuha, with cold and dark eyes that seemed to be filled with knowledge and experiences she stared up at him, “Do you really think that you could have done something to me worse than what I have experienced myself? Do you really think that I could get all the more traumatized after all I’ve been through? Think again.”

Not knowing what to say, Kazuha stood frozen from the shock of seeing such cold and heartless eyes from someone. It is said that through the eyes of a person, you could see their soul. Her eyes, the eyes of the mysterious girl, were filled with so much darkness, it was like her soul was a black hole that could suck anyone and anything in. No difference between the good and the bad. A soul so twisted, you couldn’t help but feel fear.

But, at the same time, there was a feeling of loneliness and pain that Kazuha knew all too well. As she had spoken he could still hear a slight shake in her strong and confident voice. A shake of suffering and anguish. A shake of loneliness and fear.

“What’s your name?” Kazuha forced himself to turn back to look at the girl who had walked past him.

Tilting her head, the girl smiled, her terrifyingly dark eyes immediately disappearing, “You can call me y/n.”
