Wrapped in a blanket
I stood behind a wallHearing the shouts outside my bedroom
Peeking through the blindsI took a deep breath
Closing my eyes slowly
Until my eyes met hisA monster
A monster
Was my father
How could he call himself my fatherLocked in the basement
For years long
And he said he is my fatherMy mum... My mum
Treated like shit
Kicked and punched
I throw myself on to the wallShoved me down the stairs
And threw me down a pathway
Like I was no human
And didn't deserve to liveThis is the people that claimed they are my family.
