"What's this?"

"A pink smoothie. It's your favorite," Stella answered like he didn't know that.

"I know that," Kendall scoffed, "I mean why are you giving it to me?"

She rolled her eyes when she noticed him take a sniff of the smoothie, obviously suspicious of it. "Relax. I didn't do anything to it. It's a peace offering because I need your help," She admitted very reluctantly as she looked away from him.

A smirk plastered itself onto his face. "You need my help?" He repeated, enjoying this.

"No."

His brows furrowed and he frowned. "But you just said-"

"I need help from someone who knows how to play hockey. And obviously, I asked the wrong hockey head," She glared at him and snatched the smoothie back.

"Why do you need help with hockey?" He asked as he childishly grabbed the smoothie back.

"I need to learn how to skate for this new role," She explained.

"So, you do need my help," He smirked, "I gotta say, I'm shocked princess. You didn't learn how to skate on one of your fancy holiday trips?"

"No," She insisted sharply, "I need someone's help and you just happen to be the only hockey head I could find. Trust me, if I knew where James was then we'd already be at the rink with his strong arms around me teaching me how to hit a... whatever the hockey ball's called."

That was a lie. The second her manager told her that she'd need to learn to ice skate, Stella had immediately thought of Kendall. In fact, her manager had already picked up a few top-notch skating coaches to teach her but the blonde had refused.

She thought this would have been the perfect opportunity to bond with Kendall, especially since it was something he was so passionate about. But it seemed like that was just blowing up in her face. And this was the exact reason she never let herself catch feelings.

"It's a puck," He corrected her, clearly not appreciating her lack of knowledge on the matter.

Well, at least that's what she thought. He was actually upset that James had been her first choice when she needed someone to teach her hockey.

And when he realized that he was upset about that, he quickly pushed the thought to the back of his mind. Because the only reason he'd be upset about that was if he liked Stella.

Which he didn't. At least that's what he kept telling himself. After being stuck with her in Beck's RV for so long, he'd really gotten to know her. And he got to know that she was actually kinda cool. Well, really cool actually.

"Whatever," She huffed, "You know what, I'll just wait until James comes back and-"

"I'll help you," He blurted out without much thought, just wanting to avoid having James and Stella bonding.
