Part 2: chapter 34

"Turn off the phone", Yeonjun said in a low tone in case they were listening to them through Rose's phone too, however, his voice was demanding and firm enough to make the girl gulp and send chills into her skin, "Now!"

Bending down with quivering knees, even her hands were shaking when she picked up her phone while trying to keep a straight expression. She pressed the button and switched off the phone immediately, casting one anxious glance at the male in front of him again, feeling his rage. Yeonjun snatched her phone away from her grasp and checked the phone himself since he no longer trusted her. Then he threw the device away onto the couch nearby which made Rose gasp. She met the younger's hateful gaze as soon as her eyes returned to the alpha.

"We need to talk"

Rose had no other way than just to follow him when Yeonjun grasped her arm and dragged her towards the main door, going outside, so no one in the house would be able to hear their conversation.

They stopped at the gate of the yard, both surrendered to the awful silence. Yeonjun had his hands on his hips, his teeth sinking intensely into his bottom lip as he thought hard about what to say, or how to respond to the creature beside him he had always considered his family member. He was feeling hurt, angry and confused, so many questions were attacking his mind, but on the other side, Rose was just feeling fear and concern. The only thing she wanted was to run away because she wouldn't obviously survive Yeonjun's rage. She was sure he would blame her for Beomgyu's death.

"Yeonjun, listen-"

"SHUT UP!", Yeonjun glared at her with red flaming eyes, making her back away immediately, taking a stumbling step backwards, "What am I supposed to do with you now, huh? I trusted you. I FUCKING TRUSTED YOU and you stabbed me in the back"

"It's not what it looks like", Rose tried to calm him down, "I was only calling him because-"

"There is no point in lying to me further", Yeonjun said in a bit calmer voice, but it was full of disgust just like his face, "I knew that there was a traitor in my pack. That's why I said everything to you all in the conference room"

Rose gulped and nervously directed her gaze to the ground. She knew she wouldn't manage to lie to Yeonjun anymore. Maybe it would be better if she'd think about the ways to escape from there instead. She didn't even want to imagine the others' reaction when Yeonjun would tell the truth to them.

"Why?", Yeonjun asked in a hurt voice, small tears glistening in his icy blue eyes, "Why did you have to do that? Was I being so bad to you? What did I do to make you hate me so much?"

Rose played with her fingers nervously. She had to admit that Yeonjun's words somehow made a pang appear in her chest. She felt a hint of guilt.

"It's not your fault", she mumbled under her breath, "I knew Sungjin even before I could become a member of your pack", Yeonjun kept staring at her through his shiny tears, feeling pain growing more and more by Rose's every word.

Rose joined his pack maybe about 4 years ago. At that time, Yeonjun used to visit Busan quite frequently for different businesses. Rose lived in Busan, but one night Yeonjun accidentally hit her with his car, but she looked so badly injured, that Yeonjun knew she wouldn't be able to make it to the hospital, so he had to bite her in his car. She was dying anyways, so it was worth a try. Fortunately, she survived and Yeonjun had to take her to Seoul, in his house, because now she was his beta and he would have to teach her control, no matter how much she wouldn't want to go with him.

"We had a relationship. When I talked to him after the day you bit me, he told me not to mention him to you and he wanted me to stay here. He and Namjoon were already partners back then and he knew everything about your and Namjoon's hostility, so he decided that it would be good if he'd have a spy in your pack and keep watching you because he knew one day you would get interested in him too since you were enemy of Namjoon and Namjoon and Sungjin used to do many bad things together"
