Part 1

Y/N's P.O.V.

"You know I don't like this, right?" My brother asked, looking at the city in front of us with a frown. It was such a beautiful view from the balcony, one I was fortunate enough to see every day.

"Really? You're gonna stop me now?" I asked with a small smirk.

"Look, Y/N, you do your little vigilante thing and I'm okay with it. You're doing something good and you're protected. Dad put his heart and soul into that suit- into the formula, but this is different. You're not wearing the suit."

"I'm going to high school, not fighting petty crime." I laughed, looking up at him.
"I don't need the suit, I'll be fine. If anything does go wrong, which it won't, It's not like I don't have the formula running through my veins." He still had a disapproving look on his face and I sighed.
"You shouldn't worry so much, you're beginning to look like dad."

"It's my job to worry. You have no self preservation skills." He nudged me and I laughed. My eyes widened as I checked the time, before I moved back inside and snatched up my backpack.
"Call me if anything happens."

"See you later, Harry." I stepped into the elevator and we mock saluted each other as the doors closed between us.
Outside of the building, Bernard was waiting by the car, a small smile on his lips.

"Ready to go, Y/N?" The butler asked and I nodded my head, seconds before he opened the door for me and I slipped inside.
The car ride was peaceful, the speakers playing quiet music as Bernard drove towards Midtown High.
Opening my bag to grab my phone, I noticed a small black box and frowned in confusion. Opening it, I found a familiar simple chain holding a green pendant. There was a note folded over inside of the box.

Have a good first day
I know it's just a prototype, but I trust you
-H

I couldn't help but smile to myself at the gift. I took the necklace out of its box and pulled it on, carefully touching the pendant.
It was infused with nanotechnology, secretly holding my suit. But like the note said, it was just a prototype, the suit would form just fine, but it wasn't as strong as my other one. We were still working on improving that, but without dad around it was a lot harder.

"I do believe this is your stop." Bernard smiled at me as he pulled up outside of the school. I couldn't help the excited smile tugging at my lips as I adjusted my hold on my bag.
"I'll be back to pick you up later-"

"Actually, I think I'll be walking back this afternoon." I interrupted with a small smile. Bernard looked like he was going to protest, but I wouldn't let him.
"I know what Harry said, but I'd really prefer it if you didn't come and pick me up."

"Your brother loves you, Y/N. That's why he worries." I nodded my head, thanking the butter, before stepping out of the car, finding several people already looking at me. I could hear their whispers clearly, but I didn't let it deter me from walking straight up to the doors and into the office.

"Can I help you?" The receptionist asked without looking up and I smiled slightly.

"I hope so. It's my first day." I kept the smile on my lips and when she looked up, her eyes widened dramatically.

"Miss Osborne!" She laughed nervously.
"Of course, silly me. Your brother called earlier, making sure everything was in place." She shifted the papers around on her desk and cleared her throat.
"Here is your schedule and everything else you will need and I'll find you an escort now, if you'd like to take a seat?" She gestured to the uncomfortable looking chairs by the wall and I thanked her, moving to sit down. I briefly glanced over the papers I had been given, pretending not to notice the woman looking at me every few seconds.
After several torturous minutes of being observed, the doors opened, revealing two boys, laughing quietly between themselves.
"Parker!" The taller of the pair turned to look at the receptionist with a friendly smile.

"What's up, Miss?" 'Parker' asked softly, a curious tone in his voice. He shooed his friend away, who left, muttering to himself.

"I was about to have someone come and find you." The receptionist replied calmly.
"This is Miss Y/N Osborne, it's her first day and you share more than a few classes, so you will be helping her out for her first few days." The boy turned to look at me and I gave him a small wave.
"Give her a nice Midtown High welcome."

"Of course." He nodded and I stood up.
"Hi, I'm Peter. Peter Parker." He smiled shyly, now facing away from the receptionist.

"I'd introduce myself, but... that's already kind of been done." He nodded with a chuckle.

"Y/N Osborne as in..."

"Adopted daughter of the great Norman Osborne, yeah." I sighed. The bell rung and I noticed Peter tense up slightly.
"Here, you want to compare? I think that's what we're supposed to do, right?" I offered him my schedule and he pulled out his.

"Yeah, we're together for everything except Gym... actually you don't have Gym at all, that's not fair!" He whined, making me laugh.

"Perks of being famous, I guess." I shrugged. The truth was I had an ungodly amount of scars from my part time job as a 'vigilante', as Harry called it. The scars covered my arms, legs and torso, which I imagine would be problematic if anyone found out about them.

"We should get going." Peter handed me back my schedule and I nodded in agreement.
