Chapter 21: Sharks

Lucky's pov

I wake up with the sound of Leo yelling to Santos hearing Athean groan. "Tell Leo to shut the fuck up" She mumbles as I get out of bed going to the bathroom. I make sure I look somewhat presentable before going out of the room. "What the fuck are you doing Leo it's to early for this" He looks at me with confused eyes.

"Lucky it's fucking 12 in the afternoon if anything you guys are up late were going to swim with dolphins then some scuba shit and you guys are still sleeping" He puts his feet on the coffee table while Santo's just stays on his phone. "I'll go wake up Athena" I walk back in the room to see her sprawled out on the whole bed.

I wasn't even gone for five minutes. "Bambina come on, it's time to wake up" I tell her, rubbing her back as she just moves around the bed. "Babe come on, we leave tomorrow to Canucn let's go enjoy the last day here" She groans sitting up laying her head on my leg looking up at me with tired eyes.

"When we get to Canun there needs to be a day where we just sleep" She rubs her eyes trying to keep them open. I run my hand up and down her arm as we stay in the same position. I find myself falling more in love with her everyday. There's always something new, another thing to love.

Her stormy eyes fight to stay open as she lets out a yawn making me lightly chuckle "Now we really have to get you ready lets go bambina" She gets up walking to the bathroom starting to get ready. I throw on the swim shorts I find not really caring. "Amore can you tie this again?" Athena asks, walking out the bathroom holding two strings to tie her swimsuit around her neck.

I gently tie it making sure it is not too tight but not loose enough that it can fall off. I wrap my arms around her waist burying my head in her neck as she lets out a light laugh. "Amore you were telling me to get ready now you stay here how hypocritical"

"Babe if it was for me right now we'd be sleeping but I'm sure you wanna see dolphins and sharks even though you might like the sharks more" I laughed leaving a light kiss on her neck. She slips on a pair of sandals putting her hair in a ponytail. "Come on hades I want to see sharks" She says in excitement grabbing my hands.

We all go downstairs to a buffet for lunch. "I'm in heaven" Leo says, filling up his plate with various different foods. "Leo you could eat and not get full i'm pretty sure anything with food is heaven to you" Santo tells him rolling his eyes. It's not a lie Leo eats more than anyone i've ever seen.

Sitting at the table everyone complains how we took so long to get up yeah yeah they could have gone without us. Athena's plate consists mainly of fruit with fries and boneless chicken. "Why are you eating so much fruit?" Adriano asks her taking grapes from her plate as she glares at him.

"Don't touch my food and because that's all I've been craving for a while" She responds by picking up a grape popping it in her mouth. The light conversation continues as we all eat our food at peace.

"No you dumb idiot im his favorite uncle" Adrinao argues with Angelo seeing who does Santos like more. He just sits back watching the scene laughing to himself. "Listen Adri I hate to burst your balls but i'm pretty sure Santos likes me way more than you. It's alright you still have Athena" Angelo pats him on the back as he swats his hand away.

"Don't bring me into shit" Athena looks up from her phone glaring at them. "Yeah sorry Adri we forgot Athena's favorite brother Sandro used to leave us all at home and go out by themselves. What did they call it again?"

"I don't fucking remeber but still shes my partner in crime so suck it Sandro" Adri sticks his tounge out at his making Sandro roll his eyes. Children I tell you there kids are more calm then them which is surprising because there kids.

"Why are we having this conversation again?" Leo asks to rubbing his temples. I continue to eat, enjoying the scene in front of me. "I don't know but Leo hurry the fuck up were litearly waiting on you to finish" Sandro tells him as Leo practically inhales the rest of his food.

How he doesn't get a stomach ache is incredible. I will never understand but that's besides the point. We walk onto the beach as the boat pulls up. Getting on the boat we all get moved around to keep the weight balanced. "Leo get you fat ass in the back" Angelo tells him as he rolls his eyes moving to the back. He sits in between Adriano and Mia.

The boat starts moving as people start random conversations.

Athena's pov

It takes half an hour to get to this small island where we would be with the dolphins. "It's so pretty" I look at Lucky as he shoots me a smile wrapping his arm around my shoulder. "It looks even better because your here with me"

An instructor came to us, making us wear some snorkeling tubes. "The dolphins and sharks will swim past you; they won't harm you. The water over here isn't deep, the kids are able to play here and we also have people watching them to make sure nothing happens. You guys are going out a little deeper here until about 4 pm but we can leave anytime before that. Now if you're ready just put on the snorkel and you're free to go" The worker tells us as I put on the ugly snorkel.

"I hope Adriano gets eaten" Leo pushes him in that water making him fall in "Adriano you fucking dick" Leo tries to run to him as he hides behind Santo.

"Santo protect me" Adri hides behind him as Santo stays still not even caring about his idiotic uncel behind him. "Santo stop hiding the grown bitch behind you" A wet Leo says as Santo bursts out laughing to the point where he has tears rolling down his face.

"Holy shit you two are literary children" Santo pats both of their backs walking away putting his snorkel on while swimming underwater.

Eventually we all go under the water looking at the beautiful ocean. It is so beautiful but deadly almost like a rose. It's beautiful on the outside but when you least expect it, it'll prick you making you bleed. Most beautiful outside could have an evil inside.

It's an environment where the most peaceful things are the dangerous ones. It's dangerous to be at peace because when you're at peace your guard is down and when your guard is down anyone can come in and attack. Living a dangerous life limits your options but I wouldn't change it for the world.

Time goes by in a heartbeat before I know it we are already back in the resort. "Bambina, are you ready for mexico?" Lucky asks walking to the room with a cup of water in his hand giving it to me. "I am but I swear there needs to be a day where we just sleep." I put the cup down laying flat on the bed.

"Yeah i'll make sure that happens" He kisses my cheek laying next to me bringing me in the comfort of his arms. His rosewood scent brings a smile to my face as I look into his beautiful eyes. "Do you think I'm a good person?" Lucky raises his eyebrow giving me a questioning look.

"I think you're a great person. Many people thought when you took Santo that it was a trap to use him for more information but you didn't. You actually cared about him, you treated him as your own. I can tell you without a doubt you've flipped my world around. Athena, give yourself more credit. There are many that fear you because you have this wall built up but I can proudly say once you get comfortable and take that wall down with them they will see what a great and selfless person you are" Lucky hold my hand placing a kiss on it.

"Are you happy with your life?" He looks at me with confusion "My life right couldn't be any better, I'm with the girl I love, a kid I love as my own I don't think there's more I can ask for everything else is just a plus I wouldn't change it for the world" I smile at his words burying myself deeper into his warmth.
