MATTIA

I walked into my bedroom that I stayed in at the Davidson Manor. It was just the way I'd left it. All my belongings had already been brought in and placed in all the right places. It felt good to be back.

I unbuttoned my shirt and threw it on a chair before changing into a pair of shorts to sleep in.

The sheets were fresh and crisp, hugging my body as I got into bed and turned my phone on. There were several messages and one from Athena just now.

Athena: Go out on your terrace

I furrowed my brows and got out of bed, dropping my phone in the sheets. Opening the two French doors, I walked out onto the marble terrace barefoot.

What I saw next sent me through a rollercoaster emotions. I felt my whole body heating up as my eyes locked with Athena's. Her smile matched mine as I noticed everyone else.

"No! That goes there!" I said, pointing to the corner of the garden. I watched one of the servants run over to the other side of the garden. I sighed impatiently as my Mom walked over to me.

"Is he here? Is he home?" I asked her frantically. She gave me a calm smile, taking my hand.

"He's home, he's in his room" she said "are you sure you want to do this? Either way, you have mine and your Father's full support"

"I'm sure, Mother. Thank you" I said, kissing her cheek softly. She smiled, little tears in her eyes.

"I love you, my darling" she whispered "you look beautiful" she traced the white roses in my hair and gave my hand a squeeze before walking away.

"I love you more!" I called, she blew me a kiss. I walked over to see my Dad who was smoking a cigar by the pool. He smiled when he saw me, wrapping an arm over my shoulders.

"How are you, darling?"

"I'm good, Papa" I said "everything's almost ready, I'm just waiting for the go signal"

"Good" he nodded "I wish you the best of luck, I hope this ends the way you want it to". I smiled and hugged him tightly, letting him kiss the top of my head. I looked around, becoming puzzled.

"Not that I care but, where's Joey?" I asked him. He rolled his eyes, placing the cigar on a table.

"Someone saw him going home with Cassie"

"Ew" I shuddered. Dad laughed and went to stand in the middle of the garden with Mom. One of the servants waved at me, giving me a thumbs up.

I gathered myself, smoothing down my lilac dress that I hadn't bothered changing since the party.

I sent him a text, telling him to come to the terrace before going to stand in the middle of the garden, in front of everyone else. I took a few deep breaths as I saw a light turn on from his room.
