Xavier's POV

"Daddy?" Reyna spoke out while the three of us were waiting for our food. I looked up at her before humming in response. I noticed how she began to play with her hair slightly, something Axarii always did whenever she was nervous.

Reyna was an exact replica of her. The only thing different would be that her hair was slightly darker, similar to the shade of my hair. "When are you and mommy going to get back together?" She suddenly asked. Cole seemed to be interesting in our conversation, him looking up from his iPad.

"I don't know princess... that depends on mommy." Was all I could say. I couldn't help but laugh as she pouted.

"They're already back together." Cole said, Reyna now looking confused.

"I saw them kiss."

A small gasp then came from Reyna before she leaned closer to Cole, him moving back slightly. "On the lips?" She asked him, Cole nodding.

"Yay! Mommy and daddy are married again!!" She exclaimed.

The food finally arrived at our table, the three of us now eating. As time passed I couldn't help but think about Arii. We've gotten closer ever since the trip to Arizona... but we haven't talked about officially getting back together.

Every time I bring it up she either changes the subject or we're interrupted by someone.

"Why you look so sad?" Reyna asked me before eating some of her fries. A small smile formed on my face, "I'm not sad."

"It's not good to tell stories." Cole muttered out. I looked at him in confusion, him eating his chicken nuggets while staring back at me.

Sometimes... I wonder what's going on in his head. He acts so much like me, it's honestly scary. Ever since the first time I met him, I found him slightly intimidating.

Barely.

I sighed out before taking a sip of my drink, "I just miss mommy... that's all." I admitted, staring at the table. Reyna placed her small hand on top of my own, looking at me with a frown on her face. "We all miss mommy too. Can we call her?" She asked when I looked at her, excitement now written across her face, Cole agreeing. 

A small smile formed onto my face before I pulled out my phone, dialing Axarii's number. After a few rings it ended up going to voicemail. I tried calling her a few more times but the same thing would happen. 

"Why won't she pick up?" Cole asked, a frown on his face. 

Before I could try calling again a random number popped up on the screen, making me even more frustrated. "Who is this?" I asked them. 

After a few moments I could hear someone in the background, breathing hard. "Xavier! Please, I need you and the kids to hurry back!" Sophie rushed out. Sophie? How did she even get my-

"Alright we're on the way back now," I told her before getting up from the seat, motioning for the two to follow me. I shook my head as I watched Cole shove a nugget in his mouth before grabbing the rest of them as well as his iPad while Reyna grabbed a handful of her fries. After placing the money on the table, the three of us were outside walking towards the car.
