Please point out any mistakes I may have made. Hope you enjoy the chapter

======================

Morning came, the dark sky started to turn orange and eventually to a bright blue. I walked around in circles in front of the tent, waiting for Philrei to wake up. I hear rustling sound of fabric and see him coming out from the tent stretching out his arms and legs.

"Finally awake?"

"...sorry, seems like I kept you waiting, Akane. How do you get up so early? Though if you wanted to sleep, you should've asked for me to switch with you, it would've been safer that way"

"Oh, um.. sorry I'll do that next time."

"Well anyway, we should eat breakfast, pack up and continue towards the Lapelos Plains"

Philrei eats breakfast and we pack up Philrei's camping equipment and resumed our trip. I made the creative excuse of saying that I ate earlier so I managed to avoid that.

Travelling through the forest, Philrei and I passed lots of animals and greenery. Families of horned rabbit, regular rabbit, the occasional wild boar, small birds in the trees, caterpillars, lines of ants and whole lot of others.

I eventually started up some conversation with him 'cus it was getting pretty boring.

"So.. have you been outside the city before?" I asked

"Yeah, I've explored the forest a bit when I was younger but I didn't really venture far and my father was there to watch over me." he said

"Do children normally come out to play in the forest?"

"Usually they do but they're accompanied by an adult so it's mostly fine."

"Actually shouldn't we make some kind of strategy to kill the turtles." I realized

"Oh, I completely forgot about that. Thanks for the reminder. Well, firstly I doubt my sword could do anything to it's shell so any ideas?" Philrei asked

"We could flip it over and attack it's underbelly." I suggested

"That could work but Celka turtles are heavy so it's going to be hard to do that."

"Ah yeah, that'll be a problem." I added, trying to think of a solution

"Hm, that is a problem. Do you have any ideas."

"I haven't actually done this before but I think I can flip it over using ice magic."

"What do you want to do?" Philrei questioned

"Well, I was thinking that I could use ice magic underneath the turtles and boost them upwards and flip them over that way. I think this could work but I'm not really sure if it'll play out like I said though." I explained

"I think it could work. I have full confidence in your magic ability, plus, it's not like we have any other ideas."

We walked and walked until we exited the forest. The Lapelos Plains wasn't really what I thought it would be. Instead of a large flat area of grass, I see a jagged stony landscape. In front of us the land gradually sloped upwards to a plain made of pure stone and gravel along with some moss and patches of grass

"This.. wasn't what I was expecting when I heard that this was a plains."

"I guess that is quite misleading. The Lapelos Plains is just a large flat area of stone so most if not all people just call it a plain for simplicity." he explained
