ONE ʙʏ ONE 𝟸 : ᗩᗷᑌᔕᗴ ᗩᔕƳᒪᑌᗰ

The screen showed the flaming remains of Maria Hospital. Firefighters tried to contain the fire, but the red and orange wave grew by the second.

"The cause of the flame is arson committed by serial killer Levi Ackerman."

Eren shook his head in denial, utterly horrified by the scene. The screen flicked to the Maria Hospital sign, revealing multiple corpses piled together. Written on blood on the sign - "Mon Amour"

"Well, I never took Levi to be the romantic type." The man chuckled, falling back onto the couch next to Eren. "You're lucky. Levi's pretty powerful. Nobody messes with him unless they're insane, and now that he's shown interest in you, you're untouchable."

Eren watched the camera zoom in on the bloody letters, and like a thunderstrike, a memory shot into his head. Everything was red, and his eyes were stinging. Levi's face appeared, smiling sweetly; however, there was something off about his aura.

"I'll be good! I swear!" Eren heard himself beg.

"I know you will, Mon Amour~"

Eren snapped back to reality. The man was watching the news, laughing at hearing the destruction. The teen suddenly didn't feel safe anymore. He had no idea who Levi was at that moment, and everything was struggling to make sense.

"I thought I was dating Jean." Eren mumbled to himself. "But Levi calls me pet names as if we were together."

The man raised his brow at Eren, slightly gasping, "You're sleeping with another man? Levi will lose his mind if he finds out."

Eren paused, trying to find a missing piece to his memory. "I had an accident and don't remember much. Jean said I was with him, but now Levi is calling me-" He froze in realization. "Oh my God, Levi committed arson and murder!"

The man stared at the boy in confusion, wondering if it was a joke. Eren felt himself become weak and loopy.

"Oi, kid relax!" The man hollered before Eren's vision went black.

Armin tightened his seat belt as Erwin drifted right, tires screeching against the concrete. Erwin looked up and down the empty streets for any sign of Levi, but nothing gave any sign of life. As they approached the burning hospital, a beam gave out and half the build crumbled down.

"Where is he going now?" Erwin wondered, looking towards Armin.

"The news said patient files were stolen. He's clearly going after Eren."

Erwin growled, "And where the hell is Eren?"

"Well, it's gonna be a government building." Armin pointed out. "I'm gonna try to get into the computer hospital records."

Armin pulled out his computer and a quick access flash drive. His fingers flew across the keyboard, trying to locate Eren. After a half hour of searching, he came up empty handed. Erwin took a deep breath.

"Let's ask around. I'm sure someone knows where either Eren or Levi are." Erwin suggested, speeding off.

"We need to be cautious. Someone was trying to stop me while I was getting Levi out." Armin noted, reading the number of defense systems that targeted him.

Eren struggled awake, feeling his head spin. The teen sat up off the floor and blinked the exhaustion away.

"Thank God, you're okay." The man sighed, running a hand through his hair. "You scared me half to death!"

Eren coughed and winced at the light coming from the TV. The man noticed and shut off the channel, letting Eren ease.

Eren realized, "You have power? How? The power went out."

"This is Kenny's building. It's not connected to the city power supply. We have our own generator." The man explained. "Power for everyone else is still down."

Eren's heart dropped. "This is Kenny's complex? As in Kenny Ackerman?"

"Yeah, why do you ask?"

Eren paused, feeling dread swell in him. Now he couldn't deny anymore - Levi was dangerous. It stung to admit it, but his memory of Levi calling him "Mon Amour" and the blood on the Maria Hospital sign, they weren't a coincidence.

"I need to leave, right now." Eren stated, standing and walking towards the door.

"Where are you going?"

"Away. I-I need to meet someone!" Eren stuttered back.

The man darted towards him to stop him, but Eren flung open the door. It was almost impossible who was standing in his way.

Stormy irises dug into Eren's soul. "Found you."

Eren took a step back, thinking he was hallucinating. Levi snickered and stretched out his hand.

"Have you got your memories back yet?" He wondered, laying a gentle hand on Eren's face.

Eren recoiled from the raven's touch. "No, but I know that you're dangerous. You burned the hospital down. You killed those innocent people!"

Levi thought for only a minute before an evil plan came to his mind. The teen ran a hand through his hair as he began his best impression of a good guy.

"Eren, listen to me. I've been framed by Hange!" Levi lied.

"You pled guilty!"

Levi sighed, "Because I had no other choice! Please, Mon Amour, come with me and I'll bring you somewhere safe. I'll explain everything."

Eren hesitated, still feeling the intimation from Levi's gaze. His words seemed sweet, but it was clear that there was a dominant command behind it.

"I-I have to meet some people right now." Eren refused, slowly sliding passed Levi.

The raven grabbed his arm and asked, "Oh, really? Who?" Eren winced as Levi's grip grew somewhat tight. "Cause Hange is looking for you, Mon Amour."

"Why are you calling me that?" Eren snapped, throwing Levi off guard.

Levi pulled Eren close to him, causing the brunette to gasp and flush red. The raven leaned down to his ear. "Because I love you."

Eren's face beamed red, and a strange sensation buzzed around his stomach. The teen was frozen, giving Levi the chance to lay a quick kiss on his cheek.

"Let's get you home safe before Hange gets you." Levi sighed, brushing a strand of hair out of Eren's blushing face. "You're mother's waiting for you."

Eren jumped as Levi mentioned Carla. "She killed Marco!"

"Marco tried to kill her."

Eren paused. "Why would he do that?"

Levi grinned as he took his moment to tell another lie. "Hange manipulated him. She's controlling, and she wants to hurt you because you matter a lot to me." Levi pressed his forehead to Eren's lovingly. "I need to protect you, Mon Amour."

Levi took hold of Eren's hand and gently guided him out of the apartment, thanking the man as they left. Eren's mind was frozen, only able to walk and watch. He felt empty with shock, and his eyes couldn't focus of anything.

"He was here?" Chester gasped. "How the hell is he here?"

Levi carefully helped Eren down the stairs. "Must've escaped. How lucky is it he went to Kenny's complex."
