Nag-aalburuto man ang dibdib sa kilig at kaba ay sumunod ako sakaniya pabalik ng gymnasium. His rough and dirty attitude always have a massive effect to me and I cannot even justify that. Basta ang alam ko lang ay hinahayaan ko lamang ang sarili kong matamasa ito ngayon dahil alam kong balang araw ay kakailanganin ko ring itigil at bumitaw. Before I can even let myself get drowned in that train of thought I already pulled myself together as soon as we both entered the gym.

Tinawag agad si Tyson nang mga kasama niya. They were all very ready and sweaty to finally start their game but Tyson raised his left hand in the air as if signaling something. A guy nodded at that and they all resumed whatever they have been doing when we were gone. Tama nga pala at hindi pa nakakapag-warm up itong damuho.

Lumapit si Tyson sa bleacher niya habang umuupo naman ako sa plastic chair ko. He put his right foot on top of his chair and did a very poised and masculine stretching. Napa-lunok ako. Ano ba ito! Kapag nariyan talaga siya ay para akong nagkaka dissociative identity disorder! Kailangan kong maging malandi, matapang, malibog at kung ano ano pa! Just to keep up with him! My gosh!

He continued doing it with his other leg and I noticed how the girls in the nearby bleachers were distracted by him. Uminit ang pink kong pisngi at napa-tayo agad. My legs were shaking as I walk towards him but then again for the nth time; reminding myself, that I have to be confident! And I did just that!

Napa-lingon siya sa akin. Kunot ang noo at tila hindi ako kilala. Kurutin ko mukha mo 'eh! Kung maka-tingin ka as if parang disturbong-disturbo ka sa'kin, ah! Parang 'di mo ako inutus-utusan kaninang damuho ka!

"Here's your water." Abot ko sa tumbler ko. He stopped doing his stretching and clenched his jaw. Tumayo siya ng maayos at pumameywang at hinarap ako. I was once again, literally looking up to him while he looks down on me. God save me.

"Cool." He said under his breath. I smiled teasingly at him before I turned around and pretend to watch other men in the court. Cool...

Lumilinga-linga ako habang pabalik sa upuan ko. Nang naka-upo ay nilingon ko siya sa pinaka-normal na paraan upang hindi halatang patay na patay akong panoorin siya. At nang nalingon ko nga ay naabutan ko siyang umiinom mula sa tumbler ko habang ang mga mata'y naka-dikit sa akin. He then wiped his mouth with the back of his palm and closed my tumbler forcefully.

"G." He said loud enough for his teammates at the back to hear. My heart continued to beat abnormally. Iniwas niya agad ang mga mata niya sa akin at patakbong lumapit sa gitna ng court. Napa-buga ako ng mabahong hininga. Charez!

That day, he played so well like the usual. I was happy to see the slight improvement of his behavior when I am around. Because unlike before, he now gets to take glances at me. No matter how swift. Nakukuha niya nang mapa-sulyap sa akin nang hindi ako gumagawa ng kung ano-ano para lang makuha ang atensyon niya. That night, before I closed my eyes, a bittersweet smile escaped my mouth as I tap myself 'good job'.

"You did well, Aps!" Jenna commended right after our Prof exited the room. I chuckled. Inspired, of course!

"Thanks to you!" Sabi ko habang nag-liligpit ng gamit. Kakatapos lang ng presentation namin at kami ang grupong nakapag-tala ng pinaka-mataas na score. Never have I ever thought that Tyson, despite the negative and red flag vibes he's been giving me, could still possibly inflict a positive impact out of me! More reasons to landi!

At more talaga dahil half day lamang kami ngayon. At nataon pang may laro sina Tyson sa private court ng village ng friend ni Claire! At kailan ko pa ba pinapalampas ito? Never! Claire will go with me today and it's so exciting to think that the game will be out of school this time!

Pagkalabas ko nang Arki building ay nakita ko agad si Claire. Nakikipag-chikahan ang chararat sa isa pang chararat na babae. Nang nakita akong palapit ay ngumisi agad nang malaki. I watched her bid the girl goodbye and hurriedly rushed towards me.
