Christmas was right around the corner and Evangeline was back at 18 Grimmauld Place, cleaning up the place for Adalyn and Adam to drop by and visit.

During the past few years, the Rose family came forward with their past and explained to Adalyn everything about the Wizarding World, including the pressing matters and poor conditions regarding the power of a certain Dark Lord and the truth about her brother, who died in 1981, killed by Aurors. The family went back to their original name, no longer feeling the need to be afraid of who they were. Evangeline also welcomed the adaptation, changing her name, too, into Rosier-Black, but using only her husband's last name.

Also, Adalyn and Adam had gotten married in the past few years, merging the Clark and Rosier families. Robert and Evangeline were happy for their parents, unlike Simon, who didn't change at all.

When Adalyn and Adam walked into the house, they admired the place.

'Eva, how long have you been cleaning for?' Adalyn asked.

'I don't know, probably two days,' Evangeline mumbled, putting the last things in place.

'Eva, dear, this looks like stress cleaning,' Adam said.

'Because, dad, it is stress cleaning,' Evangeline agreed. 'It's also the first Christmas Draco and Sirius get to spend with us and I want everything to be perfect,' she added.

'Won't Narcissa join us, too, dear?' Adalyn asked.

'She and Lucius are throwing a party which you and I are going to attend in the name of the Rosier family,' Evangeline informed.

'Rosier secret family business got it,' Adam joked.

Adalyn chose to tell her husband about her family's past and what the actual family business was.

'I could put in a good word with the host,' Evangeline said. 'If it were after me, none of us would be attending this thing, but if Narcissa asked, she should receive. She's family after all.'

'Is Draco coming, too?' Adam asked.

'Draco and these things aren't exactly the best of friends,' said Evangeline. 'But his friends will be there and he said he'll see if he were to come or not,' Evangeline added.

'When do you have to go and pick him up from the station?' Adalyn asked her daughter.

'Tomorrow at noon,' Evangeline gave a short answer. 'The Order will come, too, just to be sure there's no danger following around.'

'He's at large again?' Adalyn asked.

'Killed a student last year,' Evangeline's answer confirmed. 'I can't believe it either, but we knew he was insane,' she added.

'It's crazy, the world we live in I mean,' Adalyn commented.

'What's even crazier is that my son is spending his first Christmas with us and I'm not remotely ready, yet,' Evangeline sighed.

'Why don't you go home and sort everything there, and let us settle in here while we wait for your brothers,' Adam suggested.

'Correction, my brother and Simon!' Evangeline exclaimed. 'And, dad, I love you and all, but sometimes, your suggestions aren't exactly discrete,' she added.

'And you're currently acting like a maniac,' Adam acknowledged.

Evangeline sighed, looking around the house, checking if there was more to be done. Adalyn walked up to her daughter and put her hands on the now women's shoulders.

'Go home, get some rest and we'll see each other tomorrow, alright?' Adalyn told her daughter.

'Fine, I'll go,' Evangeline sighed.
