Ezra's POV:

Ok

Ok

Ok

I got this.

I can do this.

We're going to go painting by the creek just past the gardens.

I walked up to her room and rang the doorbell.

she opened the door and I saw her in a beautiful yellow sundress.

You look beautiful.

Thank you.

She was blushing a little bit.

It was really cute.

Should we go?

Where are we going?

We're having a painting picnic by the creek.

Really?

She looked excited.

Damon and I got here earlier to set up.

I'm honestly quite proud.

You guys did this?

Yeah. What do you think?

It's beautiful.

I got some toast for us, but I thought we could try Damon's favorite kind of avocado toast.

Ok. She said with. smile.

Two birds with one stone.

I get her on a date and I can get her to eat.

I don't know why it feels so important to me to have her eat.

I think it has something to do with my Mom.

She always made sure people ate.

I made up the toast for us.

The bread was pre-toasted, but I didn't want the avocado to make the bread mushy.

She took and bite and the look on her face was priceless.

She hated it.

She was about to take another bite, but I stopped her.

Wait if you don't like it you don't have to eat it.

I don't like it.

I have cinnamon toast and fruit.

I like that better. How does he eat this?

After some food and a bit of talking we started painting.

We decided to paint each other.

When we revealed our paintings she was holding in laughter.

Mine was pretty bad, but I'd make hundreds of these to see her laugh like that again and again.

For the rest of our date we just went cloud watching.

You know until I came to live with my Dad, I wasn't really allowed outside. The first time I remember seeing the clouds I was like 8. I love them so much, but I think I like the stars even more. They're like nightlights for all the scared little animals.

That's so cute. I never thought of it like that.

I had to hold in my anger towards her mother. She was having a good time and I wasn't going to be the one to ruin it.

We walked back and Enzo was sitting in the room directly at the entrance.

How was the date? He had a fake smile on his face.

It was really good Dad. I wanna do it again.

When we were leaving the room he called out to me.

"Hurt her and I swear to god you're dead."

"I know Mr. Romano."

A/N- Ok I know it's been a long time coming and this isn't a great chapter, but I'm trying. However I do still apologize for the lameness of the chapter, and if you have ideas please let me know cause I'd like to do something more with this book. I know I ask for help a lot and I hope that's not getting obnoxious, I just don't know what to do.

Thank you. -Luna :)
