Ava stared up at the ceiling in disbelief that this happened yet again. She let herself fall into her own desires for him for the second time in only two days of the heist. They had the door locked and shut for over an hour and a half. She knew someone would get suspicious if they didn't see Berlin soon, especially because Ava was supposed to be resting right now. She pulled her panties on and then pulled on her shirt, staying out of the jumpsuit because she was about to rest anyway. Berlin was already back in the jumpsuit, pouring himself a cup of coffee. He felt accomplished. He was in charge of a very big heist, had all respect from the hostages, and was getting pleased by a very attractive woman that he cared about. The only downside was that they were hiding their activities. Nobody knew they looked at each other differently than just heist members except for Denver, but Berlin didn't know about that yet.
"I wish I could stay in here for another hour. There's so many other things I have on my mind." Berlin turned to face Ava, a smirk on his lips because of the words he said.
"No. You should get back to work. People are going to start suspecting something." Ava stood up from the ground, grabbing the blanket and tossing it onto the couch.
"Wouldn't want that." Berlin took a heavy drink of the black coffee but sat it on the table. He walked over until he was right in front of Ava. The smile on his lips still hadn't faded.
"Yeah." Ava let out a short and awkward laugh, but her eyes shifted to the floor. She was still processing kissing him, but there they were after having sex for the second time. Berlin could tell that she was off, but he didn't push it.
"You know I do want more than what we're doing now, don't you?" Berlin made it clear that he was more than interested in her.
"Don't." Ava's eyes shot up to meet his. She didn't want to hear confessions of love from him. She didn't want to be any more confused than she already was, but Berlin wasn't one that backed down easily.
"Don't what?" He chuckled lightly. "Don't tell you that I care about you? That I could see us settling on an island and having five babies?" He chuckled more as he said this but Ava didn't even smile. Her stomach was twisted in knots.
"Andres, please." She looked at him pleadingly.
"You're right." He nodded but she could see the hurt plain as day in his eyes. "Shouldn't have assumed you wanted anything more than sex with me. You have a fiancé, I guess."
"I care about you and you know that." Ava sighed in annoyance. She felt like her life was running around in circles completely. "But I just can't put my trust into you, Andres."
"Don't you want to kiss me anywhere? To let everyone know that you're fucking me?" Andres was passionate and it came out aggressive sometimes.
"I don't know what I want." Ava admitted. They stared at each other silently for a moment before Berlin pressed his lips to hers. It wasn't rough and hungry like usual. It was soft and quick. When he pulled away from her his eyes wandered to her eyes.
"I think you do know what you want. You're just too scared to admit it." He pulled off of her, leaving the room immediately after saying that. He had to get back to work before someone caught the two of them. That would cause a lot of drama that he knew Ava wasn't ready for. Berlin turned the corner and was out of sight and Denver quickly snuck into the room. Ava grabbed the blanket to cover her lower self, only being in panties that were very see through. Denver furrowed his eyebrows but shook his head.
"I'm not going to look at you." He said. Ava sat down on the couch, her eyes watching him carefully. She wasn't going to get any rest at this point. "Were you two?" He didn't even finish the question. Ava shook her head quickly, but the jumpsuit being off was enough to answer the question. "Then he was just expecting your panties for the day then?" Denver couldn't help but let out a chuckle, but he wasn't amused about who she was doing it with. He was just amused that she was finally stepping over Phoenix. He couldn't stand either of them, but he really couldn't stand Phoenix. The man was so insecure that he physically tormented his own fiancé.
"Denver," Ava sighed and cocked her head to the side. She didn't want to answer him directly, but they both knew what had happened in that room. "I wasn't planning on sleeping with him. It just happened."
"I just don't know how you could. He's practically heartless." Denver walked over to grab a bottle of wine off of the shelf. He poured himself a small glass. Ava's heart sunk at the last word that he said and it rang in her head over and over again. That's exactly what she was afraid of. She knew Andres for years upon years, and every single time he was able to leave her without questioning it once. She saw the crazy in him at a younger age. He had a temper and he was so impulsive. She just never thought he'd get the point to command someone to kill. She was alive, but it didn't change the fact that Berlin didn't know that. Berlin thought that she was dead because of him, and he seemed to be resting fine even with knowing that.
"He's not heartless." Ava said this but even she wasn't completely convinced. Denver gave her a silent look so she sighed and switched the subject. "How's Monica?"
"She's been sleeping a lot." Denver allowed to change of subject, not enjoying talking about Berlin's under cover acts. "But that's good, right? So she can heal? That's what my dad said."
"Yeah, sleep is always good. She won't heal without the right amount of sleep. Just make sure she gets extra food and drinks a lot of water. She's growing a baby, you know."
"Yeah, I know." Denver had spared her, and it was the best decision he had made in the heist so far.
              "Denver,"
              "Yeah?"
"I'm really tired and I only have maybe two hours to rest. Can we talk later?" Ava couldn't help but smirk and Denver did as well. She laid back on the couch to get comfortable, making sure she was covered completely with the blanket. Denver watched her for a moment and then nodded his head. He walked out of the room after placing the wine glass on the table.
