Jungkook was the first to sit on the utility table. Heesung eyes him and sighs.
"I thought you heard me brother? You want to join us for dinner?" Heesung asks him sarcastically.
Sunoo and Namjoon are out of town to trade herbs and medicines for the palace so Sunoo won't be able to join for dinner. Eli and her husband understood that the young prince wanted to spend time with you so they decided to have their meal much later in the evening. It seems that Jungkook was the only one who didn't get the memo.
Jungkook shrugs and offers him a smile.
"No, you eat with his majesty in the dining hall," Heesung protests earning a chuckle from Jungkook.
"Why? Tryna impress her?" Jungkook teases.
Heesung rolls his eyes and starts setting the table just as how Eli instructed him. He continues to ignore his older brother who stares at him with curiousity.
"Why are you doing this?" Jungkook asks Heesung.
Out of curiousity maybe? Or some sort of a question with a subtle prying. Jungkook doesn't understand why both his brothers are so enchanted by you. All he sees are red flags surrounding you.
"Really?" Heesung starts to get really annoyed as you were about to arrive any time now.
"I just wanna know," Jungkook pushes.
Instead of answering, the young prince continues to ignore him hoping that he'll leave before you arrive but to his dismay, you were already walking in and smiling at him.
You start walking towards him not really realizing that the other royal was there sitting on the chair, his back against you. Heesung's eyes widens, the table and food aren't ready yet. His eyes darts to the nearest person, Jungkook. He pulls his wrist and pulls him on his feet to stand up. All the while, his older brother looks so confused. He turns him to face and as soon as Jungkook's eyes meet yours, his face falls.
"The food's not ready yet so brother here volunteered to take you for a walk," he raps his way out of his panic.
"What?" Jungkook's eyes shots back to Heesung with disbelief.
"Just go, this is your fault anyway," Heesung whispers through his smile.
"No," Jungkook mutters.
But Heesung only pushes you both out the kitchen and into the dimly lit hallway. Both of you were so confused that the only thing you did was stand there facing the entrance of the kitchen that is now closed.
