I made my way up the stairs, moving carefully around the many bodies. My eyes moved on their own, checking on my mates, seeing they were fine and asleep, I went on my search for Esther. Smelling her in a room alone.

"Hilda.." I heard Esther whisper as I open the door to what I presume to be her room. She looked like she was doing some kind of magic, but me being here for one thing, made me not care.

"Didn't expect to see me so soon?" I questioned, walking towards her, my fingers wiping the dust of a table as I grimaced. "Could of cleaned up a bit." I hummed tauntingly. I saw her move slightly from the corner of my eye. "Should have known I wouldn't drink your little potion you brewed up. Was she the doppleganger? Tatia was way prettier." I said, thinking back to when I had met Tatia a few times. In all honestly, the girl looked exactly like her. But the times and personality played a large role in how beautiful they truly were.

"We aren't linked anymore.." Esther started. I raised an eyebrow at her, urging her to continue. "You are free.." I let out a crazed laugh causing her to flinch.

"Free?" My arms lifted to show a point, "You call this FREE?" I asked, my eyes flashing at her. "I call this Hell. My family is gone. I missed whatever life they had."

"Your brother-He-He had children. You can find the bloodline-" I held my hand up to her. My heart clenching at the thought that my brother lived happily. The thought of him having kids running around brought a smile to my face. I was distracted, only for a moment. A pain swelling and bursting in my chest as I snapped out of my daze. Esther had lunched forward and shoved a White Oak stake right next to my heart. I watched as grey veins wiggled their way up my body, showing she got close enough to knick me.

"NO!" I heard someone scream behind me, the smells mixing together, it smelled like home. The woods, laundry hanging to dry. Mother making fresh orange juice while Ricky burnt eucalyptus for fun. Home.

I snapped my eyes up to Esther as she frowned, the grey veins wiggling back down, disappearing as I grabbed the stake she left. My eyes flashing between yellow and green as I ripped it out of my chest and threw it into the fire she had in the fireplace. I could almost feel the shock radiating from behind me, my mates and their sister stood shocked that I was fine. Esther looked truly afraid as I let out a laugh.

"You shouldn't have turned me, Esther." I told her in a calm voice. Stepping towards her as I plunged my hand into her chest, feeling her heart attempt to pump blood in my hand. Her face was glistening in sweat, her eyes begging me to have mercy on her, but nothing came from her mouth except the gurgles of blood that she choked on. I leaned in towards her with a wicked grin on my face. "And you missed." I ripped her heart from her chest, watching her body fall to the ground, no life showing in her face. My eyes were stuck on the bleeding heart in my hand, blood dripping off it and making soft tapping on the floor as it built itself into a puddle.

"Hilda?" I heard from behind me. I couldn't tell which one had stated my name, I knew they were all there though to witness the murder of their mother. I turned slowly, squeezing the heart in my hand and crushing it, before throwing it into the fireplace where the only white oak stake burned. My eyes snapped to my mates and their sister. Shock was on the woman's face, along with slight anger. Not that I blame her, she didn't know me. Elijah looked at me in concern, along with Kol and Klaus. The third though was looking at his dead mother. Conflicted. I could feel he wanted to mourn her, but at the same time, he knew she deserved it.

"I'm sorry for your loss." I told them, before squeezing past them to leave. Kol grabbed my hand quickly, his eyes on high alert.

"Where are you going?!" He exclaimed, fear dancing in his gorgeous brown eyes.

"I have family to find." I told him. He shook his head at me as Klaus and Elijah both turned to me as well. Klaus looked more betrayed than anything. Like I had wronged him in some way.

"You can't just leave!" He snapped, his anger getting the best of him. He was a lot like his father in that way, his real father. The woman tore her eyes from her mother and looked to me, rushing forward and grabbing my throat tightly. The men in the room jumped to attack her, but I held my hand up stopping them.

"Who do you think you are?!" She snapped, hissing at me angrily.

"Your mother had wronged me. Again, I am sorry for your loss." I told her calmly. Her grip on my throat did nothing to me which irked her further.

"You can't just waltz in here, kill someone for some petty thing and leave!"

"Rebekah, mother killed her. I believe she had every right to return the favor." Elijah spoke up, trying to stay calm at the fact that his sister had me by the throat.

"How do we know she isn't lying??" Rebekah demanded. She glanced back to her brothers, seeing Klaus and Kol snarling at her and Elijah and her other brother both stiff. She slowly released me, backing up slightly. "You're her....aren't you? My brother's mate?" She questioned as her brothers relaxed. I nodded, rolling my head to crack my neck some. Releasing the tension she had caused.

"It's lovely to meet you, Rebekah. I'm Hilda Alfson. But you can call me Hilary." I told her calmly.

"Why didn't that stake kill you?" The only man I didn't know the name of, spoke up. I glanced to him and smiled a wicked smile.

"Your mother made a mistake making me what I am. Since I am part Elf and have met all of you, only one thing can kill me." I started, "You."
