thirty-one↷

"Go to bed Soomin please" Jay sighed after Soomin shook her head, sniffing while watching her phone

"I don't wanna go to sleep" she sniffed again and rubbed her eyes which were aching from crying

"You'll harm the baby, go to sleep please" the boy brushed his hair backward in frustation

"I don't want to go to sleep because I know that Jungwon won't be there when I wake up Jay!"

This has been a loop for Jay, Soomin refusing to do basic things like eating or going out

"Soomin for pete's sake it's three am and you didn't ate anything today. At least get some rest" the girl shook her head. She won't only harm the baby if she continue like this, but she will also harm herself because she doesn't properly rest for once

"And I don't want to eat anything! I want Jungwon here by my side.."

*ding dong!*

The doorbell interrupted their arguement which made Jay confused. Who could even come to their house at this hour?

"What are you waiting for? Go open it!" The six-months-old pregnant girl rolled her eyes and crossed her arms on her chest. Another mood swing kicking in

"Do you think I'll just open the door as if it wasn't three in the morning?" Her brother shook his head multiple times as he stood up from the couch

"Who is it..?" Jay took a hold of a spatula and grabbed the doorknob

"Delivery" the said boy frowned, the voice sounded oddly familiar to his ears but he couldn't fully recall who was the owner

"If you're a kid trying to prank us go away"

"I'm not pranking anyone, please open the door and take your order" the grip on the spatula tighened as Jay slowly opened the door

"Jung—" the boy covered his mouth and signaled him to not speak

"Jang Wonyoung? Why is she sending us a gift at this hour?" The older closed the door behind himself as he exited the house

"Jungwon!!?" The Park whispered-yelled in order to not make any noise

"Are you real? Is this my mind tricking me?" Jungwon shook his head with a smile

"Surprise, I escaped from that hell and came back home"

"How is Soomin feeling? Is she taking care of our baby well?" The mention of Soomin made Jay clear his throat and look away

He can't tell him that she's always crying and not resting

"She's...." the older was speechless, he couldn't find anything to tell him

"She's not the same... she refuses to eat or do anything normal apart from crying.." Jay told him the truth, he knew he couldn't lie to Jungwon when it came to Soomin

"And the baby..? Is it ok..?" Jay sighed. He doesn't know if he will be able to take the news

"I managed to take her to the doctor once for a check-up.. and she told me that her and the baby are malnourished"

"She pukes everyday because she doesn't eat, and she's at high risk of miscarriaging again" the Yang sighed as he started to feel like a part of his world crushed. He can't lose another baby

"But thank god you came, she always says she needs you. Maybe she's gonna take care of herself again now that you came back"

"So I can go in? She won't kill me?" The Park chuckled and shook his head as he opened the door

"Soomin, I have a surprise for you" Soomin looked up from her phone as she sniffed again

"What?"

"Look who's here" Jungwon popped up from the door with a smile on his face

"Jungwon...?" The boy innocently waved as if he didn't left her like that for two months

"Surprise..."  in a blink of eye Soomin was already hugging him

"I missed you" her hug tighened as Jungwon rubbed her back in circles

"I missed you more princess" a kiss was placed on her forehead

"I'm sorry for leaving love... it was to protect you" she buried her face in the crook of his neck still sniffing from crying uncontrollably

"I love you so much, I promise I won't disappear like air next time" the soon-to-be-father kissed her cheek and nose

"I'm hungry" the pregnant girl spoke out of nowhere which made won smile and chuckled

"Then let's eat and then we'll go to sleep, hmm?" He chupped her face and kissed her forehead once again

"What happened to your arm and shirt?" The Park noticed the enormous stain on his sleeve only after he removed his hoodie

"I... uhm jumped out of a window to escape and injured myself" he scratched his nape while smiling

"But don't worry! There was this dude called Beomgyu and he closed the wound. I'm all fine" the Yang walked upstairs to change himself

"Take out the food! I'll be there in a second!"
