Chapter 16

A month later

Sonakshi's Pov:
Today I am having a high fever,so I decided to take a leave.I am currently feeling a little bit good compared to morning.It's almost 11:00 am and I am still sleeping, so I decided to wake up... against my will.I took a quick shower and went out to eat something.

"Anita aunty please give me some fruits to eat... I am not feeling well"I told Anita aunty while taking a sit.

"Yes dear... Sure" said aunty while giving a pleasant smile.

I nodded my head in assurance.I was just sitting and thinking about my life.In the last one month many things have changed and I am just exhausted.

Mr.Verma and me are not on talking terms.From that day,when he scolded me, I have been ignoring him.Well,he was doing the same.He goes to his office early in the morning whereas comes late in the evening.We barely see each other.I am really tired now,my life is boring for sure.This place is just a place made of bricks... It can't even be called as home.I really miss my family,I do visit them once a week but still I crave for all the love they gave me.I have just became a walking zombie.

I think that I have developed some kind of feelings for Mr.Verma.Hah... You must be thinking that we don't talk or see each other than how can I feel something for him? But I don't know why...I always wait for him at night till he comes back from his office.Even in the morning,I always see him from my room's window when he goes to his office.I don't know what kind of feeling is this.... but I am happy to see him even from distance.Despite his weird behavior towards me, I just can't stay angry with him.But I know how to control my feelings and emotions as he has already cleared that this relationship is just for name's sake.

"What are you thinking dear?"A sudden voice brought me out of my thoughts.I turned around to see Anita aunty looking at me while placing the plate filled with fruits.

"Nothing aunty... nothing at all" I said while faking a smile.

"Ok if you say so" she said.

I finished eating and was ready to move towards my room when the ringing of doorbell stopped me.Anita Aunty was kneading the dough so I told her that I will look at it.There was a man who came with some laundry clothes which were of Mr.Verma.I took the clothes and went to keep it in his room.I opened his room's door and opened his wardrobe and placed his clothes in it.When I was closing it,I saw a file which was lying on the floor near his wardrobe.I picked it up and I immediately recognized it..... It was the same file on which Mr.Verma was working.I saw him placing all the documents in it last night and he was talking about how it is important for him to crack this deal.Is this file really important? I think I should definitely take it to him because this meeting is probably today.

I hurriedly went to my room and changed my clothes.I took the file and straight away went.I took a autorikshwa to reach my destination.Can you just imagine he is my husband and I haven't seen his office...hah.

I reached at the destination and paid the auto drive.I turned around to see a huge glass building with the name "Verma Corporation".My eyes widen after seeing the beauty of the building.I controlled myself and went in.I went in and the interiors were equally mesmerizing.Everyone was dressed in a professional attire making me feel self conscious as I wearing a simple salwaar kameez.I looked around and saw the receptionist and went near her.

"Hello ma'am,how may I help you" she said while eyeing me.

"Hmm... Actually I want to meet Mr.Verma"I told her.

"Excuse me,but do you have an appointment with him"she asked me while making weird faces.

"No I don't,but he knows me you just tell him I am here" I tried to convince her.
