Mara tried to get up, but Wanda stopped her from doing so. "Who the hell are you, freak" She spat at Wanda.

"You know me, Mara. I'm Wanda." the younger girl spoke with a sad look in her eyes. At this point, Natasha made her way over to stand next to Wanda.

The redhead seemed familiar to Mara, giving her a strange sensation in her stomach. She quickly shook off that feeling and tried to fight against the restraints.

Wanda had enough and used her magic to knock Mara out. "Was that really necessary?" Natasha asked the girl. "Yes, I thought it'd be worth a try since that also worked with Bucky." Wanda defended.

'Let's go and take her and Whitehall back to where it's safe. Sam secured the perimeter, so we should be good to go." Steve spoke, still holding onto his bleeding arm. He was a bit shaken up by the realisation that Mara would have likely killed him if Wanda hadn't stopped her.

The three made their way to the van. Wanda carrying Mara with her magic and Steve carrying Whitehall. They gave the man a sedative just to be sure he wouldn't wake up and cause trouble. They still had a five-hour flight back to the Avengers compound.

Wanda made sure her magic would work on Mara's mind for the entire duration of the journey, so they wouldn't need to sedate her.

After a five hour long journey, they reached the compound. They put both Whitehall and Mara in separate secured cells. They weren't sure if Mara was still under mind control, so they couldn't let her go just yet.

Whitehall woke up soon after he was put into his cell and was taken into interrogation by Maria. Mara was still unconscious in her cell as Wanda and Natasha stood in front of the glass watching her.

"Do you know when she'll wake up?" Natasha asked Wanda. "I don't really know. I've never really done this before." She apologised. "But it shouldn't be much longer I assume."

Sure enough, about thirty minutes later Mara's eyes fluttered open. She had a hard time adjusting her eyes to the harsh lighting, not knowing where she was.

She looked around the room and noticed it was a cell. She saw two women in front of it, staring at her through the glass. The redhead seemed familiar to her, but she couldn't put her finger on what it was.

"Do you know who we are?" The one next to the redhead said. Mara shook her head slowly with a questioning look. "I'm not sure. The redhead looks familiar, but I don't know why." She explained.

She noticed that the redhead looked defeated as she spoke that sentence. "Where am I and who are you?" She decided to ask. Somehow she did not feel like she was in danger, which she usually did when she was put in a cell.

"I'm Wanda and this is Natasha" the girl said introducing herself and the redhead next to her. Natasha... Why did that name sound familiar?

"You are at the Avengers compound. We found you in a warehouse after Hydra kidnapped you." Natasha explained.

Mara remembered the fight they had and that she somehow felt the urge to protect Whitehall. She dropped her head in disappointment.

"I'm sorry for defending him" she said referring to Whitehall. "He put me in a chair to erase my memories and said my trigger words. Those make me do anything he orders me to."

"We figured that out." The redhead said.

"Do we know each other?" Mara asked them. Wanda motioned to Natasha that she would leave the two of them alone to talk for a while, to which Natasha replied with a quick smile.

She took a deep breath before explaining everything to Mara, who listened intently to her as she tried to remember.
