                      Hayden POV

It was currently 2Am.

The same dream every night on repeat.

I was in the training room in a pair of leggings. A tank top and Nike shoes.

Headphones in my ears at full blast as I hit the bag relentlessly.

Not slowing down for even a second if my nightmares are some sort of warning...

I need to be ready.. ready for when that thing returns..

Ready to fight...

Forge not only my body into a weapon but my mind..

I need to be ready and this time I will win..

I'm not going to lose my dad. Pietro. My hope to darkness..

I will defeat this thing no matter the cost.

Even.... If it costs me my life..

Sweat fell down my skin as I continue hitting at a fast and strong pace.

That thing comes for me I'm going to be ready this time.

"I said that's enough." I hear a stern voice rip my headphones out

I spin around and see dad.

He looked concerned.

My breathing ragged from the excessive hitting.

"Sorry didn't hear you headphones." I said wrapping the headphones around my hand and stuffing them in my pocket

He didn't answer instead he crossed his arms and just looked at me.

"What are you doing up?" I asked walking to the bench grabbing my water

"Pietro said your not sleeping." Dad said

"So nothing new there." I said unscrewing the cap of the water

"He also said your mind seems to be distracted and you won't tell him why." Dad said

"And like I told him he is worrying too much I'm fine." I said taking a sip of water

"Who do you think your fooling chipmunk? I see the look in your eyes I've seen it in them many time." He said

"Now your just being dramatic." I said

"No I'm serious Hayden what is bothering you? You don't decide to train excessively for an hour for no reason." Dad said walking towards me

I just shrugged really couldn't say anything to that.

"Let's just say I have a strong suspicion that the fight with that creature is far from over." I said

He looked at me like I had three heads.

"Hayden that thing is no more. It's dead Bucky and Steve made sure of it." Dad said placing his hand on my shoulder

"It's nothing but a bad memory now nothing more." He said

"Then why do I get this feeling that it's far from over?" I said looking at him

"Just bad memories. Look at everything that's happened it's understandable." Dad said

"Trust me it's over." He said

I nodded

"Come on I know just the thing." He said smiling leading me out of the room

I just hope he's right I thought

                     Clint POV

I tried to reassure Hayden but I could see it in her eyes.

She still believes that thing is still out there.

But why when it was destroyed.

So now here me and Hayden sit eating ice cream and laughing at a movie.

Hopefully this will at least get her mind off of it for now I thought.
