The bright light shined in my face causing my groan slightly, my head immediately throbbing with pain as I opened my eyes.

It hurt

My mind was thinking back to everything, the event, the reveal. Absolutely everything.

I finally opened my eyes with minimal pain but my head was still throbbing, my eyes glanced around the room.

I was in the hospital.

The medical equipment caught my eyes immediately, everything you could name was hooked up to me.

"Welcome to the land of living" a voice chuckled from next to me

I moved my head groaning slightly, but was met with my friends.

No family

"Why am I in the hospital" I asked sitting up

"What do you remember" Chloe asked seriously

"The event, revealing our selves and Matîs coming back that's it" i answered recalling my memories

They all looked away not saying anything, my heart was beating fast and my hands were becoming clammy.

I was nervous, they weren't saying anything.

"What happened" I asked alert

"You want the good news or the bad news" Luke asked quietly

My face paled, I was preparing for the worse. They all had red stained faces and puffy eyes whatever it was they've been crying.

"Tell me" I demanded

"Well you fainted" Reece answered

"But that was 2 days ago" Lexi continued

My mind was becoming hazy, I can't recall anything that happened.

"W-what" i stuttered utterly confused

"Ez, you fainted 2 days ago, only just waking up now but that's not the worse thing" Chloe spoke softly

"What happened" I repeated again

"Your mum" Luke stuttered out

"What about my mum Luke" I asked

My mind was going crazy, what the fuck happened 2 days ago and what's wrong with mum

"She was shot Ez, we don't know if she'll make it- Luke started

I immediately jumped out of bed not caring about the wires that rested in my skin.

There was a jumper on the side that I slid on my body before walking out the door.

I roamed the hospital trying to find my family, I wanted to know what happened fully.
