After Five so abruptly teleports us into the car, without even warning me at that, we drive to Griddy's donuts. Upon entering we see that the entire shop was empty except the two us. Not that I'm complaining. We go over to the counter and take a seat.

After sitting down Five rings the bell seeing as the waitress was nowhere to be seen. After a minute or two he rings it again. And then again. And again. And again. You get the idea.

"Calm down.", I tell him grabbing hold of his hand, which he snatches away.

Then the sound of the door opening is heard and a man sits down beside Five. Then finally, a tired looking waitress wearing a pink uniform with an apron and a hat comes into view.

"Sorry, the sink was clogged.", she chuckles and grabs her pen and a notepad. "So what'll it be?", she asks looking at the man and not giving us any form of acknowledgement.

"Uh, give me a chocolate eclair."

"Mm-hmm. Sure.", she says as she writes it down and then looks up. "And can I get the kids a glass of milk or donuts?"

"The kid wants coffee. Black.", the boy beside me replies in a firm tone. I could tell he was on the edge and if the waitress slips up in some way I'm sure he'll murder her.

"Cute kid.", she says turning to the man who was apparently our 'father'. Let's be honest he would've been a far better father than mine.

Five then smiles widely, his dimple showing. The smile seemed creepy rather than cute and you could tell that's how the waitress felt too. She then shakes her head and clears her throat.

"And what about you dear?", she asks turning to me.

"I think I'll take you on that donut offer. You recommend anything?", I ask and Five rolls his eyes.

"Our jelly donuts are the best. Want me to get you that?", she asks smiling and I nod.

"Sure.", I answer and she goes away

Five sighs deeply as he looks around. "Don't remember this place being such a shithole. It's almost ,making me emotional. We used to come here as kids, sneaking out with our siblings and eating donuts till we puked. Those were the days."

Well shit, the man probably thinks we're mental now.

Five then catches the man shooting us a strange look and turns to him. "Simpler times huh?"

Oh come on!

"Eh. I suppose", he replies.

I kick Five's leg hard with my own and he turns to me with an angry expression.
