{Aspen's POV}

"Sh*t sh*t sh*t." I say panicked.

I have to answer one of these before they stop ringing.

"What's going on Aspen?" Edith asks concerned.

I have to answer Rhys.

I click answer on Rhys' call and at the same time, I click answer on the other call.

What am I doing.

I'm so freaking stupid.

"Hello?" I answer Rhys and hold the other phone to my ear so that they hear the hello as well.

"Aspen where are you?" Rhys asks.

"Who is this?" A deep voice asks from the other phone.

I'm in sh*t here.

I give the other phone to Edith and she holds it in her hand confused. I gesture for her to speak and I decide to reply to Rhys.

"In Edith's house, why?"

"Hello?" Edith says into the phone.

"I couldn't see you in here." Rhys says.

"Are you looking for-" I cut Edith off by jumping out of my chair and slapping my hand on her mouth. I cant let the other person know my name.

"We're in her closet. She has a clubhouse thing. Don't come in here, we're just hanging out." I lie.

"What should I say?!" Edith whisper shouts at me, holding her hand over the speaker of the phone.

"Are you sure?" Rhys asks.

"Yes just get out. Look I'll text you in a bit okay me and Edith are in the middle of a conversation." I tell Rhys.

"Okay." He replies.

"Okay bye," I quickly hang up and take the other phone form Edith's hand. I face away from her and take a deep breath.

"Who is this?" I ask.

"Who is this?" The person on the other line asks.

"Who is this?" I simply reply. My heart is racing.

"Oh I know who this is." The person says, making my heart stop. "This is the person who's going to die if they don't cough out a useful answer in the next 10 seconds."

I laugh nervously.

"You seem to have the wrong number then." I hang up the phone and look down at it.

I turn around to look at Edith who has a confused look on her face and I am having a full-blown panic attack internally.

"Edith," I start pacing around, "Sh*t sh*t sh*t, I'm going to die. You know just like that-" I snap my fingers, "Death is upon me."

"Aspen," Edith stands up and places her hands on my shoulders, "Breathe, what is going on? You have to tell me who that was Aspen."

"The first one," I take a shaky breath, "Was my guard, he doesn't know we're out here and I had to lie to him." She nods understandingly, "And I don't know who the second one was. There is a long story about how I ended up in Canada and let's just say that phone does not belong to me. It's belongs to a powerful bad guy who is now dead."
