Johnny ripped his keys out of the ignition shutting off his car. He leaned against his steering wheel letting out a loud sigh.

He eventually got out of his car and walked into his house throwing his keys on the counter and kicking his tight shoes off in the doorway. He checked his watch and sighed seeing that he was quite late, again.

He saw some dishes in the sink telling him that his boyfriend had eaten all by himself for the fourth time that week. He felt so guilty not being able to spend time with him but being regional manager of his company meant he was busy all the time.

He slowly entered his bedroom seeing a lump in on the mattress slow breathing filling the room. he sighed again as he undressed and threw on a pair of sweatpants leaving his shirt off. He tossed his work clothes into the hamper and got into bed.

As he snuggled under the covers he felt his boyfriend move beside him before arms were wrapped around his bare torso, soft warm lips pecking his shoulder.

Johnny smiled wrapping his arms around his boyfriends.

"welcome home baby." His voice was so soft.

Johnny flipped around to face his love, his hands moving to brush his hair away.

"I thought you were asleep." Johnny smiled.

"not without my goodnight kiss."

Johnny chuckled before he leaned in and pressed his lips to jaehyun's.

"have another hard day?"

Johnny sighed nodding his head.

"I'm sorry baby, I know how stressed you've been about work." Jaehyun whispered placing his hand on johnny's cheek.

"you must be exhausted..." jaehyun said sadly.

"hey, don't make that face, just seeing you fills me with all the energy I need."

Jaehyun smiled but still looked kind of sad.

"I'm so sorry I wasn't home for dinner again Jae...I really tried to get out of there earlier but there was a last-minute call off and then I had to call corporate, and it was all just a mess and i-

Jaehyun wrapped his arms tightly around johnny and pulled him into a hug.

"shhhh, shhhh, babe, it's alright you never have to explain yourself to me, and you don't have to be sorry, you are working hard for that promotion, and I will always support you and your career, I can eat alone john, don't worry."

Jae's words hit johnny hard. He snuggled into jaehyun's chest squeezing him tight.

Jaehyun squeezed him back and kissed the top of his head.

"you need sleep my love, stop worrying okay babes?"

Johnny nodded against jaehyun and took in a breath.

"you wanna sleep in my arms tonight for a change?" jaehyun giggled softly running his fingers through johnny's hair.

Johnny snickered and snuggled even deeper into jaehyun's chest nodding his head vigorously.

"okay baby, get some sleep now." Jaehyun ordered as he held johnny close and they both dozed off to sleep.

Over the next few weeks johnny had come home late almost every night. He was starting to feel like he never saw jaehyun anymore except for Saturdays and Sundays and even then he spent most of the day on the phone or answering emails.

He was just given a huge project at work and had been staying at the office late into the night to work on it.

It started to weigh on johnny as he never saw his boyfriend anymore and he didn't even realize that this week especially he had forgotten something much more important than a promotion.
