"We're all from Grand Valley. Including you, there are only 4 kids from other farms." Paula said.
'4 kids...She must have meant me, Y/n, Lucas, and Adam. But...just who is that boy? He can't understand language? And that brand on his chest, does that mean he's from factory farming? But, sure enough, that symbol wasn't anywhere in the materials we read back in the shelter. Could it be that Adam...'

"Hello, Norman." A voice said.
"Good morning, doctor." The white-haired boy smiled.
"Present for your check-up please."
Norman placed his hand on a device and it beeped.
"You're quite the healthy boy. Time for your breakfast now."
A tray was slid in and Norman took it, sitting at a table in his room.
"Thanks for the meal!" He clasped his hands together.
Norman glanced at a cup of pills given to him before picking up his fork, but it fell from his grasp.
"Whoops!"
Instantly, a fork was given to him through the window.
"Thank you very much!" He smiled.
-----
"The number of questions and the time will be the same as usual. However, the difficulty of the questions will be higher this time. Is that okay?" A scientist said as Norman sat in a chair with headphones that were connected to a bunch of wires.
"Yes." Norman said.
"Then, let's begin the test. Question 1..."
-----
"What are the results?" Someone asked.
"A perfect score. All 200 answers are correct...again. We increase the difficulty every day, but so far he hasn't missed a single question. The tests posed at Grace Field are far from easy, but the questions we're posing him here are of another level entirely. And even then, he still stays off the charts."
'A "very" special boy, huh? So that's why he was chosen for this institution.'
-----
Norman read books, solved puzzles, and played chess, but he still had the same expression.
'I want to see them. Y/n...Emma...Ray...All my friends...I want to be by their side once more. All of you made it, right? No one was left behind, right?'
~Flashback~
"Please wait in this room for a little bit." Isabella said.
"Oh."
Norman entered and saw a long-haired man.
"Good evening. It's a pleasure to meet you, Norman." The man greeted.
'He's...human?! An adult man...?'
"I am terribly sorry, sir. Did we make you wait?" Isabella asked.
"No, it's alright. I arrived a bit earlier."
"Norman, this is Mister Ratri. He's your new daddy."
'What? A foster parent...?' Norman thought with wide eyes.
"Our ages are much too close for me to be your father, don't you think? Just called me by my name. I'm Peter, Peter Ratri. If it's alright with you, I would very much appreciate your help with my research."
