Xiaos POV
I was laying staring at up at my ceiling. Though my alarm was still going off I was to exhausted to get up and do anything. I was too tired to pull my hair out of my face. I couldn't even grab my phone to check my notifications. I eventually just decided to close my eyes again even though I knew I wouldn't end up sleeping eventually my alarm stopped and I heard a familiar deep voice. "Come on. It's time for school." I opened my eyes and to look at the ceiling not even bothering to face him. Zhongli was one of my adoptive father's. I still could never understand how he could marry an asshole and baby such as Childe. "I'm tired." I let out a long sigh. "And you think I'm not exhausted as you?" Zhongli said. "I don't give a fuck about you right now." I said glaring at Zhongli. We sat there in silence. I knew I fucked up and didn't mean to say that to him. But I didn't know how to apologize so I didn't. I respected Zhongli a lot and felt horrible. Zhongli left the room. Childe then came in and said nothing. He simply walked over to the side of my bed and flipped the mattress over with a smile. "WHAT THE FUCK" I yelled. "Sorry comrade but you had to wake up sometime!" Childe said with a beaming smirk "I hate you." "Love you too son!" He said exiting. I groaned and got up pushing my mattress off of me and back up onto my bed. I keep forgetting Childe is strong like that he could lift Yanfei, Ganyu and I with no problem. "Asshole." I muttered. How the hell does everybody else get along with him so well? Even Yanfei and Ganyu do.
I then got myself dressed and went downstairs. It was my first day at my new school.
Flashback"Little girl thinks she has what it takes to be a lawyer huh?" The guy said holding up Yanfei's law book. "Cam please just give it back!" Yanfei said reaching up. "Nah I'm good." I stood there watching with a crowd as Yanfei tried to reach for her book standing on her tip toes she was still no match. I pushed myself to the front to the other student grabbing onto her wrist and throwing her to the ground with her book. I saw the look in her eyes and instincts kicked in "XIAO WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" End of flashbackIn the end I got expelled while the other kid got suspended for a month. Yanfei didn't get in trouble and wasn't really hurt except for a few bruises and scratches. Afterwards she apologized for getting me expelled even though I told her it wasn't her fault. She cried. Not because she was bullied but because she felt bad for me. Yanfei has always been such a kind person like that. Ganyu was pissed at me and gave me a bit of a scolding but i knew deep down she was proud of me for standing up for Yanfei. Childe pretty much laughed about the whole thing and took us all out for ice cream and wouldn't stop talking about street fight tips. Zhongli just sighed and said he would arrange a transfer. So now I was ready to start my day and a brand new school. I saw Yanfei and Ganyu chatting while eating some breakfast. "Look Xiao, Childe made pancakes!" Yanfei beamed. "And they aren't burned? " I gasped pretending to be surprised. "Haha very funny." Childe said in a sarcastic tone. I went to grab a few and sat down with the two. "Morning Xiao." Ganyu said. "Morning." I replied tucking my hair back from my face"You look exhausted Xiao. C'mon cheer up!" Yanfei said plastering a big smile on her face. Ganyu would be going to the same school as me so at least I could have her with me. "I won't be able to help you around today since we are on separate floors but I asked somebody else if they could for me." I sat in silence for a few minutes. I would rather have somebody I knew with me but theres no point in arguing with Ganyu. She's worse than Zhongli when she scolds me. "I know you would rather have me with you but maybe you can make a friend this way." Ganyu said. "Yeah maybe..." I muttered
Yanfei had a separate bus stop from us since we went to different schools now so we saw her off as she walked away. She gave us a friendly wave and turned back around and started to run down the street, "It feels strange watching her and not walking with her." I said. Ganyu chuckled "I felt the same way the moment I stared a new school." Ganyu said with a smile. "But it's going to get so much better. It's a new school Xiao, a fresh start! You can start anew." Ganyu had always been encouraging like that. I was glad to have her by my side.
