I stare at the girls face.

Would it be so bad if I just... gestured a punch to her face?

One that left a nice bruise? Just one more? The first punch felt oh so good. Just one more.

My dad repeats "Who the hell are you?" anger spiking.

She gasps and says "I'm...I'm Kate Bishop." Dad looks her up and down and says "You're a kid." I smirk now entertained with my dad's anger. He continues talking with his frustrated expression staying on his face. He looks constipated when he does that face and I bite my bottom lip attempting to hold my laughter in.

"My god. How did you get this suit?" He asks calmly.

She gasps for breaths, freaking out. I look to her, concern etching into my expression and the feeling of laughter completely disappearing.

Sirens go off loudly and I step closer towards her. She needs to calm down before she has a full blown anxiety attack.

Dad says "Look, we gotta get you out of here. Okay? It's not safe for you to in this outfit. Do you live near here?"

She heaves a heavy and breathy sigh. "I.. I.. Yeah. I live just.."

He pushes the backpack into her arms and says "Here, take this. Are you okay?"

She says "I'm really fine. I.."

I grab her arm pulling her "Come on. Let's go."

She says shakily "I saw a dead body."

Dad says "This way."

She yammers on "It was a first."

I sigh and say "We'll talk when we get there." We evade the cops as we split up briefly. I sent a false lead towards the other way and met back up with Kate and Dad. I fall in step with them and say "That was too easy."

Kate's eyes wander my body and face. It's like she's memorizing me and it's creeping me out. My face contorts to minor anger and Hawkeye changes the subject "So, where'd you learn to fight like that?"

She says still nervousily "I, uh, started taking martial arts when I was five." Dad nods and says "Wow, so like a year ago?"

I punch his shoulder at his stupid joke. He uses that line on me all the time. He worriedly looks at the person passing by and I furrow my eyebrows into annoyance. He's being overly cautious.
