While it's a good thing to imitate good from those who do good, realise this, you are YOU; alongside all of your qualities and shortcomings.
"Who created you, fashioned you, and perfected your design, moulding you in whatever form He willed?" (82:7-8)
You are unique in your element and Allah swt fashioned you, your personality and your surroundings exclusively to suit you, your life and your trials. So, don't think too hard about how someone else reaches the goal. Come up with ways which works best for you. A thumb will remain a thumb and won't turn into a finger no matter how much you stretch it. (Silly example I know, but it works so😅)
