In a rather careful discernment and trying to follow the habituate route of Wu Dahu to the mountain, Song Qinghan got himself in gear.

With a further observation, he found something valuable.

Wu Dahu might not be in the mood to erase his traces. Although the footprints on the road had become shallow, it was quite enough for Song Qinghan to recognize.

The further he walked, the bitterly colder he could feel along the way. Shivering a bit and swallowing, Song Qinghan still chose to march into the forest.

Not long, an obvious mark of fighting appeared right in front of Song Qinghan, while the landscape was matching the scene he dreamed about.

Everything seemed to reveal that all what he was dreaming was truly happened in the real life, on his pitiful hubby.

With such a great fear, he still plucked up all his courage to head to the place he had dreamed about.

When he saw the familiar tree not far away, he got his heart tightened, mumbling to himself, “Right here! He fell down right here aside the tree.”

But when he got approach to the tree, he found that something was beyond what’s in his expectation.

There existed no Wu Dahu, nor a giant bear. Only a pool of blood could be seen on the ground.

Dipping a bit blood on his fingertip, Song Qinghan sniffed it for a brief while. And the next moment, he came to a relief.

It wasn’t the smell of human blood, but of an unknown animal. Probably it was from that giant bear.

Upon pondering which route he would pick up to go, he found there came a burst of noise, and then a succession of piercing, frantic one over his head on the tree.

Song Qinghan jumped in shock, retreating a few steps back, and then he raised the hoe, looking up at the top of the tree.

This was such a situation, which, as Song Qinghan might conceive, that the unknown monster would jump down from the tree and kill him right away.

“Bang!”, as Song Qinghan was pondering standing there, an object with weight fell off from the tree all of a sudden, seemingly losing his breath.

With such nervousness and concern, Song Qinghan came to calm himself down quickly and then he found out that the man lying on the ground wasn’t other but his hubby, Wu Dahu. He threw the hoe in his hands, rushing over and checking out the main artery on Wu Dahu’s neck. For what he could tell from the diagnosis of his hubby’s pulse, Wu Dahu was still alive but in such a perilous situation. Song Qinghan then found some rattans nearby, forming them into a holder-like thing and fixing Wu Dahu in a comfortable posture.

When everything was done, he couldn’t help but search around. The next moment when he raised his face to look up, he found the giant bear with a fierce and monstrous look, the one which bore such a resemblance in his dream, was just tacked down right on the tree in a rather creepy way. With that sight, Song Qinghan lowered his head, shivering, and then tied up the holder-like rattans with him, he dragged his hubby along the way heading home.

It was quite a strength-consuming hard work for Song Qinghan who was still carrying a big belly. The boy moved in a rather slow but careful way.

It took more than twice as much time to go down the mountain. When Song Qinghan stood at the entrance of the courtyard, he couldn’t help but look back at Wu Dahu worriedly.

He felt for his hubby, the dragging process along the way exposed and festered every scar on this poor man. The flesh on his body, including his face, was injured badly.
