The Meeting of Hybrids

Hiya guys! I loved reading your comments on the last two chapters and I decided to push my never-ending laziness, along with a slight hangover, out of the way and grace you with another chapter. Yes, I'm sure that my sacrifice was duly noted.

I really wish I could say that I was lucky enough not to find myself in this lovely situation, but apparently not. I blame Nik for this, of course, who else? I fell asleep alone and now I'm in quite a compromising situation next to Nik and his stupid handsome self. 

I don't know who I should thank for the blanket that covered my naked body, but whoever it is I appreciated it immensely. Wrapping the blanket around my body, I went to my bag that was a few feet away and took out my clothes, trying to get dressed without dropping the blanket that protected my naked body from anyone's view, especially a certain hybrid's view.

Nik's deep morning voice reached my ears, surprising me enough to almost drop the blanket out of my hands. "You know, you could have stayed right beside me, I wouldn't have minded." his eyes were filled with mischief and I shook my head chuckling "You wish." God, his morning voice made me almost melt on the spot.

"I really do ." I just shook my head and looked at him. He was putting on some pants and I shamelessly raked my eyes over his god-like body. He just smirked at me "Enjoying the view?"

I shrugged and smirked "I certainly don't mind it". Now that I was dressed, I came closer to him, feeling as if gravity was pulling me to him. It was almost instinctual, I couldn't explain it. I looked into his eyes and our eyes finally met. His eyes shone yellow, while mine shone their infamous violet. Looking at them was a feeling out of this world. His ocean eyes were filled with many secrets, his emotions indicated by the constant waves in those blue depths. At that moment I felt complete, realizing that, I couldn't help but feel completely crazy. 

My tattoo started tingling and I somehow managed to tear my eyes away from his gorgeous ones and scanned my birthmark. I could feel Nik's eyes inspecting it. "Nice tattoo, when did you get it?" there was something about the way he asked that made me look at him immediately. "Why?" I asked suspiciously. 

He shrugged trying to make it seem as if he didn't actually care "Curiosity. Why so suspicious, love?"

I squinted my eyes while looking at him "I know you Niklaus, there's a reason why you're asking. Until you tell me what that reason is, I'm not going to answer your question."

He rolled his eyes smiling, but a small smirk was visible in the corner of his mouth "Really Luna? Isn't that childish?"

I shrugged indifferently "Then I guess your childishness rubbed off on me."

He smirked looking me up and down "Must have been from sleeping next to me all night. You know you're quite cuddly when you sleep."

I did my best to ignore him, but I was betrayed by my cheeks heating up at just the thought of it, there was no bell to save me but thankfully I could feel another vampire's presence close by. 

I was about to take a step away from Nik, but he wasn't having any of it. He put his arms around my waist pulling me to his side and I just shook my head. As if I couldn't move on my own. Who knew he would be so possessive? Okay, sure, I should have predicted that, but we just met. I shook my head at him but he ignored me and said "You know Elijah, there is no need for lurking around, you can grace us with your presence.".

I chuckled at his words and I heard Elijah huff annoyed "Really Niklaus. I was giving you some privacy."

I decided to put my two cents in said "But is it really privacy if you're there to hear it all? It sounds a bit like spying and lurking around, don't you agree Elijah?"

Niklaus chuckled and Elijah looked at me and said "It's nice seeing you again, Luna, or was it Seraphina?"

Nik's hand tightened a little bit on my waist, not that noticeable but I could feel his nerves and I smiled "You're right Elijah. We haven't been properly introduced. My name is Seraphina Luna Bennett, it's a pleasure to meet you, Elijah."

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, Seraphina. I see you've already met Niklaus," he commented casually but I could see his eyes sliding to Nik's arm around my waist. Realizing how it must have looked I untangled myself from Niklaus' arms.

I chuckled at him and did my best to look sly "Yes, your brother is quite a flirt. Now, I need to go, so I'll leave the two of you to your business."

Elijah smiled and nodded, but Nik looked at me curiously. I just rolled my eyes "Nik I have spent two days, running around the woods in wolf form. I need to shower, eat and sleep, so don't look at me like that. I'll talk with you later, but don't think I've forgotten about our previous conversation" I shot him a mad look and he sighed and grunted, but nodded nonetheless.

Getting back home, I headed straight to the shower, washing off the dirt from my body. I could shift at will. How lucky I was to have been born a hybrid, I felt bad for everyone that was forced to turn every moon. I can't wait to shift in the future of my own free will. Putting on the first long shirt I could find, I got in my bed and momentarily passed out. 

Darkness enveloped me and I scanned my surroundings, looking for any clue as to where I could be. I could swear this was a dream, but it felt so real...and yet so surreal. While my feet glided in the darkness I couldn't help but wonder if this space was the size of a room or just endless darkness. Hearing someone's footsteps, I immediately stopped walking further. The person's footsteps stopped as well. This couldn't be Nik, he was with Elijah right now. 

Then who was here with me?
