Akash's POV

I saw her dashing to her room and I looked at Maya, glaring at her.

"Why did you've to say that" I said, raking my hand through my hair in frustration.

"I...I didn't know Siya would hear about it Akash and it was just a joke" she said but I cut her off "she's vulnerable Maya, do you even understand what that means?"

"I...I don't understand Akash" she said stuttering.

Taking predatory steps towards her, I said "she's already suffering enough and we don't even know what's going on in her mind. She has lot of insecurities, Maya and hearing this she would think that I moved on from her but in reality I didn't. You all know how she has always been on my mind. She has trust issues, Maya and what if she thinks that I moved on from her?"

I said the last part in barely a whisper.

"I love her Maya, to this day and always will. She's already distant with me and I don't want to create any misunderstandings between us but thanks to you, now I don't know what to do" I said, frustrated.

"Akash..I am sorry" she said but I cut her off "don't bother Maya. You've done enough."

"Do..do you want me to talk to her?" she asked after few seconds of silence.

"No. Whatever misunderstanding is between me and her, I'll sort it out" I said.

"Akash...I..I" she said but one glare from me and she shut her mouth.

"Leave for now, Maya. I've got lots of work to do" I said.

She gave me a glance and then left.

"What are you going to do?" Kriti asked me.

"I did nothing wrong, Kriti. I am still virgin. I agree that the drink was spiked and I brought that girl home but I was in an illusion that she's Siya. I love her Kriti then how could I ever think of giving something so precious to someone who's not Siya? I know women cherish their virginity a lot but it doesn't mean that we men don't" I said with tears.

"I had always dreamt of giving it to Siya because she has always been my first in everything be it kiss, make out, anything. I know I was not in senses that day but as soon as I realized that it's not Siya, I...asked her to leave. Believe me Kriti, please believe me" I said.

"I could never break my promise, Kriti. I would never do that. It didn't matter whether I would remain virgin all my life but I would never give my virginity to anyone apart from Siya, please believe me Kriti, please" I said, begging and sat on the floor, hugging my knees.

"Bhaiya" she said and sat beside me while I hugged her and cried my heart out.

"I'll never break her trust Kriti, please, believe me" I said and I was sobbing by now.

"Shhh...shhh I believe you, bhaiya" she said and stroked my hair.

"But she will not" I said, barely in a whisper.
