The chair was uncomfortable, George decided.

Perched in between Jungkook and V, George placed his hands on his knees and laughed quietly to himself as J-Hope did another star jump at the curtesy of James Corden.

"Look at you! Bless you!" James addressed them all, a smile on his face. "I am so thrilled to see you all, George! This is only our second time meeting in person, because the second, the Carpool Karaoke, you couldn't be here."

George nodded. "Yeah. I broke my leg, and sadly couldn't join you guys. But it's lovely to see you again. Last time we saw each other was when we did the Flinch Challenge so it's been a while."

James turned towards the audience, a smile on his face. "You know, it's so nice hearing that British accent. It really does remind me of home."

Not knowing what to say, George gave a quiet chuckle as Taehyung patted his knee.

"So, we have had the best day; filming with you being here is always a thrill for us, it's been two years since we all saw each other in the flesh, and I couldn't be happier to see you. How are you doing?"

The audience exploded into cheers as James continued his fireball questions.

"How is everybody? Are we all well and good?"

"It's so good to be back, we're very well. But James, how about you? You've been in some hot water with army... are you alright?" Namjoon asked making George puff out his cheeks.

James erupted into laughter, whether it was nervous or genuine, George didn't know but he did enjoy the sight.

When James became the target for many Army, George had watched the whole saga unfold on Twitter. He had been slightly disappointed since the joke that Corden made wasn't very tasteful, but he knew that some of the hate directed to the older man wasn't necessary — he never condoned bullying, no matter what the cause is.

"Does everybody know what happened? What this was?" James asked, looking around with a smile on his face though George saw the red cheeks, he had been put on the spot.

He smirked to himself.

As James quickly became a stuttering mess under the pressure, he quickly tried to explain himself and George was having the time of his life watching it happen. Call him evil, but he loved seeing people flustered.

"The first I knew about it was when Reggie sent me a text. Do you remember Reg?"

"Yeah, yeah. I was just like 'James... are you okay?"

"And I was like 'well someone's just told me that they hope I die today...' which did feel extreme..."

George nodded along with that, telling someone to die would never be okay and he was very upset with the people that did that, despite understanding their anger, things got taken too far.

"I hope you know this, we absolutely love you and we love the entire Army. We do." He then went on to praise the fandom, which made George break out into a smile.

"James it's alright, we appreciate your apology," Namjoon cut in.

James laughed. "It wasn't—"
