Chapter 55: A Saiyan's Wedding

A SAIYAN'S WEDDING

SON Y/N AND SON CAULIFLA

It has been a little over a year since Zamasu was destroyed, and since then, most of my time was spent on Earth with Caulifla. Caulifla moved in with me shortly after Bardock and Gine left. Naturally, over time, the topic of marriage came up, first acknowledged by Mom.

Y/N: This food is great! You're the best, Mom!

Chi-Chi: Anything for my boy!

I dig into the food as Mom sits in front of me

Chi-Chi: So, how are things going with Caulifla?

Y/N: Oh, great! She and I have been training together on Whis' world.. She's showing signs of Super Saiyan God, but she's not there yet

Chi-Chi: You know, I wasn't fully on board with her once I met her, but I can tell you two are meant for each other.

Y/N: Thanks, Mom

Chi-Chi: So.. Have you thought about getting married?

Y/N: We've only been together for a few months... besides, not like she'd understand 

Chi-Chi: How so?

Y/N: She's a Saiyan from another universe! We have entirely different traditions here on Earth. How would I even approach it

Chi-Chi: Well, I don't quite think I'm the best one to talk about getting married. Your father didn't know what marriage was either when I approached him about it. I'd talk to Bulma about how she got married to Vegeta

Y/N: I didn't even think of that! Thanks, Mom!

After many months, I finally approached Bulma about some marriage advice.

I walked up to Capsule Corp and opened the door, I walked through the empty halls until I found Bulma's office, I lean in and spot her at her desk. I knock on the door, getting her attention

Bulma: Oh, hi Y/N!

Y/N: Hey Bulma!

Bulma: How can I help you?

Y/N: I need some advice, and you seem like the best person for it.

Bulma: Of course! Come, sit down!

I sit on a chair in front of Bulma

Bulma: What do you need?

Y/N: I was thinking... about asking Caulifla to marry me...

Bulma: Oh my gosh, congratulations!

Y/N: The thing is... she's a Saiyan, from another universe no less, as far as I know, they didn't really do weddings.. what happened when Vegeta asked to marry you?

Bulma giggled

Bulma: Oh, he was confused alright, and for the record, I asked him. Like you said, Saiyans didn't really do marriage. Vegeta said that Saiyans didn't have time for marriage and wedding festivities.. when I asked him, he was completely clueless, I had to sit down and explain everything to him.. which kind of ruined the moment.. but I guess it paid off.

I laugh a little

Bulma: The Saiyans of Universe 6 are very different from the ones Vegeta talks about, perhaps they did have weddings... You don't know if you don't try.
