"Levi," Eren softly whispered. "...Let's go home."

Levi smiled and laid a gentle hand on his face. "Of course, mon amour. You're mother's been waiting."

Erwin and Armin gave each other a worried glance at the mention of Carla. Hange lowered her head, accepting defeat. It was clear that Eren was too far gone to save.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you Eren." Hange sighed.

Jean grunted, standing up, "What are you talking about? We're not giving up, we can't!"

Zeke tried to argue too, but the gash in his neck was too painful. Hange applied as much pressure as she could to keep him from bleeding out.

"Jean, open your eyes and look!" Hange exploded.

Jean turned towards Eren, who protectively pulled Levi to his chest. Levi shot the horseface an evil smirk of victory. He tried to stare into Eren's eyes, but the boy was entranced by the raven.

"We lost. Eren picked his side, and Zeke and you are about to bleed out." Hange deadpanned. "Connie's outside with the car. Let's just go."

Levi chuckled, signaling for Erwin to take aim. "You thought you could just leave?"

"Levi," Eren softly whined, "They gave up, so just leave it."

Erwin hesitated, waiting for Levi's final decision. The raven eyed Eren for a moment as he tried to read his thoughts, but he wasn't able to understand him. Levi shrugged and gestured for Erwin to lower the gun. Erwin was unsure but followed Levi's instructions.

"Of course, mon amour." Levi agreed. "Armin, Erwin, let's go."

"Wait, sir." Armin timidly blurted. "We need that one."

Armin pointed to Zeke, who shot a glare at Levi.

"What for?"

Armin leaned into Levi's ear and revealed the secret that Carla told him the night of the red room. Levi's eyes widened as he began to feel conflicted. Zeke worked for Hange, yet he was Eren's family. Carla wanted him, so Levi couldn't really do anything to argue with his future mother-in-law.

"Fine, but he stays tied up the entire trip to the island." Levi scoffed. "Eren, let's get going."

"Ah, wait a second." Eren sputtered out. "C-Can I have a moment to speak to...Hange?"

Levi scowled, "Why?"

"It's personal."

Levi ticked his hand and pulled Eren's chin down with his thumb and index. The raven's feature were dark and suspicious of the other. Eren held a confident expression.

"Eren, as my boyfriend, there's nothing too personal about your life that I shouldn't know. Now, why do you want to speak to Hange alone?"

Eren froze under Levi's icy gaze that shook him to the core. The teen leaned down and pecked Levi's lips, making him relax.

"Trust me."

After a minute of thought, Levi huffed but gave in. Armin and Erwin grabbed Zeke from Hange, not getting a fight from the depressed girl. They disappeared down the corridor with Levi trailing behind them. Eren made sure they were out of sight before his personality snapped to his true self.

"I believe you." Eren quickly whispered, still cautious of Levi. "I don't know what is happening to me and I don't know what the hell happened in the past, but I'll trust the memories I've got."

Hange paused, not sure of he was telling the truth, but the desperation in Eren's eyes was clear. She smiled and nodded with excitement. Jean sighed, seeing that it was an act to get rid of Levi.

"What about Zeke?" Hange asked.

Eren assured her. "I heard Armin whisper something about my mom and Zeke, and Levi will do anything Carla asks. Levi will not hurt Zeke."

Hange believed him and started to take off towards the exit. Eren stopped them and nodded his head towards the nurse on the floor. "Levi will kill him if we don't take him."

Hang shared a glance with Jean before the boy sighed and hauled Rin onto his back. Eren thanked Jean and the group took off down the hall.

They weaved through the halls of mental patients, but it was nothing compared to the chaos unfolding out side. Patients from all units were attacking security and destroying the asylum. Helicopters started to swarm the area, but it was difficult for them to get a stable eye of the ground with the growing wind rocking them around.

Hange spotted Connie trying to defend the truck from a pair of manic twins giggling at his struggling. Hange and Eren shoved the out of the way, clearing a path for Jean to place Rin in the back of the truck.

"Connie, Jean, in the bed!" Hange shouted over the sirens and yells.

"Are you kidding? It's cold as hell out here!" Connie growled.

"We do not have time to argue!"

Jean picked Connie up and hurled him into the back of the truck before jumping in beside him. Hange climbed into the truck, quickly starting the engine.

Eren was in shock of the mania around him. He scanned over the yard, suddenly meeting with a pair of stormy irises, filled with murder, across the swarm.

Levi was seething when he realized he had been tricked. Erwin, Armin, and Levi piled into their car and they began to barrel at Eren. Eren crawled into the truck and Hange sped off, but Levi was close behind. The girl was trying her best to lose him.

"He's not gonna give up. We gotta do something!" Eren panicked, carefully watching Levi's face appear in the rear view mirror.

Hange thought for a moment. "I've got an idea, but you've gotta have some trust in me."

"What are talking about?"

"Crawl through the window to the back of the truck and sit on the ledge of the back like your gonna jump." Hange planned.

Eren gasped, "Are you nuts? I'll get killed!"

"Levi wouldn't let that happen. He'll slow down in fear of hurting you, giving us enough time to make it on the highway."

Eren was terrified, but he had to try and slow Levi down. Carefully, he climbed his way out the window and onto the bed of the truck. Levi's face contorted into confusion and shock.

"Eren? What the hell are you doing?" Connie yelled, reaching out to pull him down.

Eren stepped to the back edge, making Levi start to panic. The brunette gave the raven a challenging stare before taking a risk and lunging his torso forward, taking a massive about of caution to keep a grip steady on the vehicle. Just as Hange planned, Levi commanded Erwin to slam on the brakes.

Their car came to a screeching halt, but Hange accelerated her engine, finally separating from from Levi. Jean reached out and yanked Eren away from the ledge.

"Jesus, Eren, don't ever do that again!" Jean growled.

"But it worked!" Eren chuckled back. "Now, let's get somewhere safe and away from Levi."
