Ch. 16 "the Hurt"

                                             Satori POV 

It's been odd around here lately. ever since my.... well I like to call it episode but Tony insists on calling it a shutdown. 

But ever since then Tony has been acting well... Stange..er

Taking me to events, conventions. Me and Mommy even had thanksgiving with Tony and the Avengers. 

It was something else. something I would give to do all over agin in a heartbeat. 

I was currently sitting in the back of the Limo. Happy picks me up from school every day now. 

Me and Happy could talk forever. he's funny. 

But someone I happened to get really close with even though we just met a few days ago is Peter Parker. 

AkA Spiderman. 

I didn't even know he was spider man until Tony told me. 

Even though I never dreamed of meeting the Avengers. 

That doesn't matter to me. 

What matters is they take the time with me. 

Get to know me as a person. 

Know my interests. 

My likes and dislikes. 

They want to spend time with me. 

As I was walking into the tower I let out a sigh. 

If only dadd would want that.. 

"Everything alright Satori?" Happy asked concerned. 

I looked up at him smiling and nodding. 

"Yeah just everything running a mile a minute up here." I said tapping on my head. 

He chuckled 

"No wonder you and Tony get along so well," He said 

"Yeah." I said smiling 

Sure yeah I'm smiling on the outside. 

But inside I was hurt. sure the day I walked home at night in the rain was a few weeks ago. but that doesn't make it hurt any less. 

And the really sad part is... if he would ask for another chance. 

I would give it to him.. 

Because no matter how self centered he is.

Or money hungry. 

Or neglectful. 

Or lac of brains or common sense for that matter. 

No matter all of it. 

He's still my father. 

Even though he doesn't act like it some times. 

I just wish I could understand why he doesn't want me around... 

I had my chin in two of my fingers my pointer finger above my chin as I tapped it against my chin and my thumb...

Something I'm known for doing when I think very hard

                                     Tony POV 

I was walking with Steve, Peter, and Bucky when Satori walked by. She had her chin in two of her fingers

Her eyebrows were scrunched. 

It was cute. she's a small kid. in elementary school and knows all the things she does.

"Hey Satori" Steve said 

She didn't even acknowledge any of us. 

"Is she okay?" Peter asked 

"Yeah. you know what kid I'm sure she could use the company why don't you go ask her for that tutor your looking for?" I said 

"Wait Satori knows Algebra?" Peter said shocked 

Steve and Bucky looked a bit shock as Peter. 

"Of course she does. girl is smart don't know why Pepper insists on keeping her in Elementary school.." I mumbled 

"Because I want her to be a normal little girl." Pepper said from behind me. 

"Oh come on we both know she's far from that she is a diamond in a rough full of Gems" I said 

"She unique, she's special," I said 

"I know that but I also don't want to push her." She said 

"Push her Pepper look at the first week we met. I told her she was capable of so much as long as she put her mind to it. next thing I know she made a dragon fly AI." I said 

"I know that but I don't want her to do things just because I want her to. I want her to do things because she wants too." Pepper said 

"Your worried about her. about what happened." I said 

She nodded. 

"I know she's hiding that she's upset. I can see it in her eyes." She said 

"Then we'll-" I began 

"Hey Tony you'll never believe this." Satori said walking up to us with a bounce in her step. 

I picked her up. 

"What?" I asked balancing her on my hip. 

"Peter asked me to tutor him. Me! Can you believe that?' She said 

We all chuckled 

"That's awesome." I said 

She smiled widely at us. 

And suddenly I see what Pepper was talking about. 

Satori is hurting and not showing or talking about it. 

And I'm going to do something about it if it's the last thing I do. I thought
