Chapter 34

"What?"

The trio present were left stunned, with Tzuyu gapping in utter disbelief.

When the Lee family and the Jeon family had announced the marriage, Inna had bragged to many other rich wives that she would be the mother-in-law of the Jeon family's head, and a big shot in River Town.

But with that almighty slap of having the wedding canceled on the day of engagement....where would she show her face from now on?

"Jungkook, that's probably not ideal....How would you explain canceling the wedding to old madam?" Inna asked sheepishly, while discreetly nudging Lee Dongwook in the ribs.

"That's right", Lee Dongwook parroted. "Jungkook, Old madam would never agree it"

"I'll talk to Grandmother" Jungkook replies, pausing for the heartbeats before looking down at Tzuyu. "We shall not meet again"

With those words, he turned and left without stopping, a haste in his pace.

There were two large people: One large and one small waiting for him back home.

"Jungkook!"

Tzuyu rushed in front of him and blocked his path, still holding a trace of home. "Are....are you really not marrying me?"

"Or what?"

"Please, no! Jungkook!"

Tzuyu lunged into his arms again, her tears flowing freely as she begged. "No, Jungkook, don't cancel the wedding! You can't do this to me, you promised Granny and me that you would marry me!"

Jungkook sharp brows lifted in irritation and loathing.

"Let go!"

"No! I'll only let go if you marry me"

Tzuyu had both her arms tightly wrapped around Jungkook's waist her upper body latched tightly to his body brazenly.

Before, Jungkook neither liked nor hated her. In the end, his planned engagement was only in accordance to his grandmother's wishes, and as such he never tried to understand her, and was reluctant to have anything to do with her.

Today, he truly that the woman was an annoyance!

He hence gripping her upper arms with both of his bony hands forcefully to the pints that they turned white. When Tzuyu flinched from the pain, he shoved her aside.

Tzuyu's sprained her heel then and fell raggedly on the floor, while a red line was cut over her arm by a pebble.

"Tzuyu, are you alright?" Inna and Dongwook rushed toward her, saddened by the sight.

Nonetheless, hatred was welling in Tzuyu's eyes. With her fingers all digging into the ground, she screamed at that tall, departing shadow.

"You are cancelling the wedding because of Lisa, aren't you?"

And as she expected, Jungkook paused.

However, he did not turn as he waited for her next words.

Pushing away Inna as she tired to help her up, Tzuyu simply glared at him, her deadly seemingly boring a hole into his head. "Jungkook I'm telling Granny if you leave"

He was the most obedient grandchild after all. She only had to complain to the Old madam, and he would have no choice but to marry her!

As for Lisa, she would have her learn what terrible consequences waited for anyone who touched her man!

Nonetheless....

"Huh"

Jungkook chuckled. As he glanced at her sideways beneath the bright sun, there was only indifference in his face "Go ahead"

As if struck by lightning, Tzuyu was left watching as Jungkook left, her tears still flowing freely.

"Tzuyu"

Having never expected such a turn of events, Inna felt heartbroken to see her daughter's wretched state, and tried to help her up.

"Don't touch me" Tzuyu screamed, her face ferocious and devoid of all pretenses before. "Lisa....Lisa you b*tch! I will kill you!"

Why did her man have to be taken away on the day of her engagement ceremony?
