The servant is not always Rhythm. There are times when Flos is introduced as Rhythm's servant too. It all depends on the circumstance. And who declares who to be the servant 1st.
"Now that you have bought the dress you need, what shall we be doing next, Miss?" re-starting their game of master-servant relationship, Rhythm asks Flos whilst holding onto the shopping bag as the servant
"Do you think I need to dress up?" Flos asks Rhythm for his opinion
"I should be saying yes but I think no," Rhythm is not being helpful as usual
Flos becomes melancholic, "Why do people choose to live in such a troublesome way?
Rhythm knows Flos refers to the aristocrats and all their rules. As a person who refuses to study, Flos will never know why. It's not like Rhythm understands what those people are thinking anyway, even after he learnt about it.
Explaining is bothersome so Rhythm will not bother to do so. Giving his lazy childhood friend a shrug, they tacitly change the subject, "How long do you think we will have to stay in the Capital?"
"I hope to get back as soon as possible," Flos shows a frown as she worries about her flower garden
"You didn't leave anything dangerous behind in your garden, did you?" very late, but Rhythm just thinks of asking this, worrying about his Mother's safety as the proprietress tends to Flos's garden
"No," Flos shakes her head, "Don't you already know? I have them with me," Flos points to her hair tie and her bracelet
"Who knows if you have a new companion you haven't introduced," Rhythm grumbles with both of them knowing this accusation is not unfounded
"You have a point, but I dislike your point," also grumbling, Flos then releases a long sigh, "I will never leave anything dangerous behind to endanger your family. You can trust me on this,"
"I will reluctantly do so," constructing a show demonstrating his reluctance, Rhythm says that and then laughs at his lousy acting
Ignoring this idiotic young man's self-performance, Flos looks around and decides, "Let's send a package to the Village,"
"What's in the package?" Rhythm does not disagree, but is confused by Flos's choice
"We have been to a Town, but not a City, right?" Flos use a finger to circle the air, "Now that we are in a City, we can find something which struck our fancy and send it back to them as gifts,"
"Already spending money even before we reach the Capital?" Rhythm raises an eyebrow in question, "Will we still have money left to live at the Capital?"
"The mayor didn't ask for compensation for the property damage," Flos reminds her childhood friend, "We will also be paid a bounty for hunting the variant bear,"
Realising what Flos means, Rhythm nods his head in agreement, "So we have enough money to spend," very good, "What are you going to buy? For who?"
"I don't know what I will buy, but I want to thank your family," Flos smiles as she shrugs her shoulders. Patting her dress's pocket, specially sewn by Rhythm's Mother by Flos's request, where she stows her purse, Flos confirms that the purse is still there.
"You have given us more than enough things to convey your gratitude," despite sounding polite, Rhythm has a big grin on his face as he shows his true thought, "Go use up all your money on hand to buy gifts for my family!"
"I am not buying anything for you," giving this young man a look, Flos shakes her head and starts another shopping spree with Rhythm. Naturally, it is to ask for his opinion on the gifts since Flos has no confidence that her personal taste is appreciated by the rest. Also, Rhythm will be carrying the purchased items as the servant, plus writing the address to send the gifts to the Village using the postal service, so his opinion on the gifts is a must.
