There's not much resentment in the current Flos towards that person. After all, she does not see that person as a relative. Although that person made people misunderstand the 3 of them as a family, inside the house, there was no family affection to speak of.

There is no resentment, but if that person troubles her with her family matter, then Flos is also not welcome to trouble her using her family matter. That's right! That's it! That's the deal!

"You say there is no resentment but you sound resentful to me," Rhythm shakes his head, still with a frown as he thinks of how to deal with that person's existence and how much it will affect Flos's mood, "Correct me if I am wrong, but... Did she abduct Uncle and you?"

Abduction. Flos doesn't expect Rhythm to think of that. But, in a sense, whilst it's kind of true, that person can argue that it's thanks to her taking them in that they could live well for some time before Flos's Father's untimely passing.

Flos has no idea of her origin. In the past, the toddler Flos was content with her little family of 3 and never thought of asking about relatives. Just as she didn't expect her Father to pass away so suddenly, toddler Flos never expected her 'Mother' to abandon her so easily; even though the toddler Flos knew she was not well-liked by her 'Mother' who thought of her as a bother in her courting of Flos's Father.

"Uncle was amnesiac, if I remember correctly," as a person who admired Flos's Father, Rhythm is certain he is right, "Without anyone knowing the truth, your 'Mother' really fooled everyone into thinking you 3 were a family,"

"Plus, nobody knew what happened when she went out of town for work. Additionally, nobody thought to check," in the past when Flos still lived in the Town before being abandoned and given a hut in the Village to live in, the neighbours in the Town were not nosy people, she remembers

"Now that I think about it, suddenly bringing a man with a child back to the town is quite suspicious isn't it?" Rhythm does not like what he is thinking, regarding conspiracy theories

"In any case, I don't want to be bothered by her. I will also not bother her. Since she is not my real 'Mother' nor does she like me, then let's not recognise each other. Best case scenario, honestly," Flos stresses the importance of keeping a respectful distance with that person, no matter how they might meet up later

Rhythm stares at Flos, without suspicion, but with genuine perplexity, "How do you know those things that even Mom doesn't know? Especially the news that person, your 'Mother', will be in the Capital?"

"Intuition," grinning, Flos says so mysteriously

"Your intuition is quite versatile," scoffing, Rhythm crosses his arms and stops bothering Flos with these questions she doesn't want to answer. Knowing the how is not that important, what's important is to remember Flos's repeated warning of not getting involved with her 'Mother'.

"Isn't it?" Flos agrees wholeheartedly, thinking that such an excuse can be used universally

The carriage finally quiets down but Rhythm is still thinking of the news Flos just reveals to him. Since Flos doesn't want to be bothered, naturally, Rhythm won't go all the way to find that woman just to mess with Flos. However... In what kind of scene might they meet, since Flos seems to be sure they will see that woman sooner or later?

Flos might mostly deal with Her Majesty the Queen; if she is not tasked with other matters by the Queen, then there's no way Flos will meet other people, including that woman. Flos also says of having the Queen as her support to prove her credibility... Does that mean that woman might be in a standing where only the Queen can stop her if she causes trouble to Flos?
