the nurse brings norma's cleaned up child. alex and norma are so excited. the baby babbles and it makes norma's heart melt.
"she's precious," norma tells alex.
"she is," alex agrees.
"i'm gonna name her everleigh." norma says.
"that's a beautiful name." alex says back.
the couple and their newborn check out of the hospital. alex drives home. they arrive and norma brings everleigh to her new room. she tucks her in and smiles.
"goodnight sweetheart." norma whispers to everleigh.
norma goes to her room and she gets ready for bed. alex is already in bed and he's half asleep. norma climbs into bed and pecks alex on the cheek.
"i love you." norma whispers.
"i love you too." alex whispers back.
they fall asleep.
throughout the night everleigh was mostly quiet besides for two times.
emma just gets into the office for the motel. she hears the door open. norma walks in.
"hey emma." norma says sweetly.
"hey norma." emma says back.
"we had the baby." norma whisper yells.
"really!" emma shouts in surprise. "can i see her?"
"sure." norma tells emma as they go into the house.
they walk into alex cradling everleigh in the kitchen.
"here she is." norma shows emma everleigh.
"may i hold her?" emma asks.
"sure!" norma accepts her request.
emma carefully picks up everleigh.
"what did you name her?" emma asks.
"everleigh." norma answers.
emma smiles at everleigh.
"she's beautiful."
