anyways i'm not in the obey me fandom anymore but i was really bored lol so here i am

[Lucifer realises you've been missing the human world a lot more than you're letting on]

First person - Y/N's POV

Three knocks, again. The same chaotic, quick pattern. "Mammon, go away!"

"Y/N," He whines. "Please just let me in! I'm so bored and no one else wants to talk to me."

"I won't hesitate to spend all your grimm if you don't leave me alone."

I hear a sad sigh then the quiet shuffling of feet. I can't help but feel a little guilty, but then I remember how much Mammon never leaves me alone and I'm annoyed at him again.

I'm lying in bed, the same place I've been for the last few days. I've given up on basic hygiene; only leaving my bed to use the toilet and grab more snacks.

I feel... broken.

I don't know when this depressive episode started. School suddenly became overwhelming. The brothers became ants I could never get rid of. All except for one brother, the only one I actually wanted to hang around. But I could never ask him, of course, because he's always too busy working or worshiping Diavolo or something.

I pull my blanket over my head and the tears flow once again, trailing down the same way they have been for the past few days.

Of course the brothers have noticed something's up. They constantly check on me. Levi asking to play games, Asmo asking to give me a makeover, Beel offering to share his beloved snacks... that's how I know he's seriously worried about me.

But as much as I want to, I can't bring myself to climb out of bed and hang around them. It sounds too... exhausting. And I feel horrible about it, which just makes me cry even more.

Just as my swollen eyes finally lighten up on the tears, I hear some quiet whispers outside my door. "Please? They won't let anyone else in. Maybe for you they will."

"Beel, I seriously have work to do. I can't be doing this right now." I recognise his voice immediately. Lucifer. I'm embarrassed to admit that just the sound of his voice sends my heart racing.

"Stop being such a workaholic and go console them!" Mammon hisses.

After a moment of silence, there's a knock on my door. "Hello?" I croak.

"Y/N? Can I come in?"

I hesitate. I don't really want to see anyone right now, but it's Lucifer... "Okay."

"Are you kidding? They let you in? This is so-"

"Shut up, Mammon!"

The door opens and closes gently, and I snag a glance at Mammon and Beel outside. Lucifer approaches my bed, stepping over the mess of clothes and food packaging that has littered the floor. He awkwardly stands at the end of my bed. "Oh, Y/N," He murmurs.

I peek at him by lowering the covers so they only cover the bottom half of my face. "Hi."

"I... I've come to check on you. The others are worried about you."

"What about you? Are you worried about me?"

He shrugs. "I suppose so. The state of your room is worrying."

I suddenly break out into a loud sob which leaves Lucifer shocked. "Oh no. Did I say something wrong? Y/N?"

"My mum used to say that to me..." I sniffle.

With a second of hesitation, he climbs onto my bed and lies next to me, hands folded in his lap. "You must miss her dearly."

"I miss her so much, Luci," I turn and bury my face in his chest, tears streaming down my cheeks.

He stiffens, but doesn't recoil. He gingerly puts an arm around my shaking shoulders. "This must be the reason for your episode, hm? Homesickness."

"You and your brothers have been so kind to me. but I can't help but miss my own family."

"Of course, Y/N. It's perfectly understandable. Now, listen. Why don't you take a shower, get changed and I'll take you up to the human world?"

I lift my head from his chest, and my heart stills at the kindness in his eyes. I've never seen this side of him. He didn't even scold me for calling him Luci. "Really? Right now?"

He coaxes my head back down and rests it on his chest. "Oh, it doesn't have to be now. You have to take your time with your recovery. You don't have to shower immediately, leave your room and jump right back into things. Take your time," He strokes my hair with such tenderness I can't help but sigh.

"Thank you, Luci."

"Of course, Y/N," He pauses. "I care for you. A lot. Okay?"

I smile, even though he doesn't see it. "I care for you a lot, too."

I almost jump in surprise when he presses a gentle kiss to my forehead. "Maybe we could take a nap like this."

"Someone likes to cuddle," I tease.

"Only with you," He mumbles. "Only with you."

idk if this is good LMAO this was such an impulse to write... i hope you guys liked that i made the mc non binary :) i've decided to start doing that from now on, to make these more inclusive.
im writing these lying on my side and my arm really hurts so i'm gonna go. love ya :)
