Prologue: "Welcome Back"

I understand now... 

???: Hello Meggy.

I understand how idiotic I've been...

???: Long time no see, Meggy.

I understand how stupid it is to trust someone like Desti...

That's why she's here, right?

Desti: Well, are you gonna answer me, or what?

Meggy: *shocked* H-how... a-are you here?!

Desti: Oh, well.  I heard that you were injured, so I came here to see if-

Meggy: How the fuck are you here?!

Desti: Woah! Meggy! I've never heard you swear-

Meggy: I-I... I saw you die!

Desti: ...Oh! Of course! Well... it's a long story, and I mean, c'mon, there's a lot going on right now.

I try to say something... but I can't...

Desti: Weeeelp, I just came by to ask how the agent program's going. 

I tense up a bit as she walks over to me.

Desti: *smirks* You need help... right? Because I can be pretty useful...

Meggy: ...Get out...

Desti: Aww, Meggy! You want me to leave already?

I look up at her, furious.

Desti: Alright, alright.  I'll get out of your hair.

I see her walk to the door but quickly stop.  Please... just leave.

Desti: Let's see. Inkpolis is destroyed.  A ton of people won't have a home.  Octavio's dead, but that leaves the remaining octolings creeping around everywhere.  One of your agents even died! That leaves you with... what? Four?

Desti: You're screwed is basically what I'm saying.

I see her give me a menacing glare

I stare back at her, wide-eyed.  This really is only the beginning, huh? Is shit really gonna get that bad?

Desti: Well, I'll talk to ya later!

I see her leave the room, bumping into Red along the way.

Desti: *to Mario* Careful, she's a little grumpy right now.

As Desti finally leaves, Red walks into the room, just as shocked as I am.

Mario: Uh... M-Meggy?

I give him a fearful look.  He knows something is up.
