Gideon held a bunch of violet flowers in his hand as he stood on guard.
"To whom will you give those flowers to, Knight Woodlock?" His fellow knight asked and Gideon shrugged his shoulders.
He was currently training to become one of the palace's knights.
'I'd like to give them to the young master.' He thought.
Knights were given freedom to offer a flower to the person they favor and wanted to serve.
Gideon desired to offer the flowers in his hand to the young master who had luscious black hair and a pretty face.
"No ladies in mind yet? Well, I'll give them to Lady Elena!" The knight spoke with a dream-like sigh.
"Lady Elena is the most beautiful woman in the kingdom. The Crown Prince sure is lucky to have her!" He spoke in envy but Gideon did not care.
He was busy arranging the flowers in his hand as he thought about Pier.
Ever since he met the young master, Gideon had been encountering a series of luck in his life.
First, one of the children brought home a gold coin and said that it came from Pier. The gold coin greatly helped the orphanage sustain their needs even just for a few days.
Many kids were fed and their needs were satiated. Gideon's respect for the noble increased even more then.
Another good thing that happened with him was his promotion to become a trainee knight for the palace.
From his guard position, he had become someone who would then become a royal knight and it would increase his salary tenfold.
"Have you seen the lady's face? She was sculpted by the gods! She is very beautiful!" The knight beside Gideon continued to ramble but the latter was contradicting his fellow knight in his thoughts.
'But the young master is way more beautiful.'
"Oh! how I wish I can hold the lady's hands even just for a second! I'd become the happiest man in the world!"
His thoughts then drifted to when the young master touched his shoulders a few times back when he showed him around the Western Area. Gideon's face flushed and he lowered his head in embarrassment.
"I heard there would be someone important coming today and was expected by his highness." Uninterested with the topic, Gideon started to arrange the flowers properly again but a certain sentence caught his attention.
"I heard it was the young master."
"Tch."
The knights clicked their tongues when they heard the title.
The young master from the Belmiunde Household was coming to the palace.
"I bet he's here to follow his highness all day again!"
"Agreed. The young master does not cease to interrupt the prince's duties."
"Haah, I wish he would just stop clinging on to his highness. The prince already has Lady Elena!"
Gideon's eyebrows furrowed under the knight's helmet he was wearing. He disliked hearing his fellow knights talk badly about the young master.
However, he cannot tell them what to do. He was still a trainee after all and they were already royal knights stationed inside the palace.
He needs to be in his best position so he can be promoted to the job.
"But why is his highness expecting the young master?"
