You were freaking out.

You knew you were. You could feel your heart racing and your hands sweating. The moment those words came out of your doctors mouth you felt your mind stop working properly. Aaron wasn't here for this appointment. Of course, the one you tell him it was okay to miss something like this happens. He had a last minute meeting. He offered to skip it and deal with the consequences, but you told him it was no big deal. This was a standard appointment, and you weren't going to be able to tell anything big yet anyways.

God, you hate when you're wrong. You hate this nauseas feeling more though. It's not your normal morning sickness, no, this is worse. This is the you can't be serious, are you joking, why did I tell Aaron not to come, sickness. The one you have to repeat over and over, as you drive to headquarters, that you are fine, you don't need to pull over to empty your breakfast onto the side of the road, that honestly, everything will be fine.

You head straight for Aaron's office when you get off the elevator, not bothering to stop at your desk and unload your things. You feel like you might faint if you don't tell him right this second. Honestly, you feel like you'll faint when you do tell him, too.

You just feel faint.

You knock on the open door, gathering both Aaron and Tara's attention, "Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't know." Realizing he wasn't alone.

"It's alright." Aaron waves you in. You can tell by the way his brows are drawn down and how he is staring at you, that he can see the anxiety, knows your nervous, but can't tell exactly why. Tara gets up with a smile and tells Aaron she will have an answer for him soon. He gets up when she closes the door, walking towards you. He pulls you into his chest when he reaches you, hands going around your waist, underneath your shirt to rub soothing circles the skin of your hips.

"What is it, sweetheart?" He asks you softly, yet still laced with concern.

You take a deep breath, pulling out the ultrasound picture and showing it to him. You watch as he studies it, looking for anything out of the ordinary. When his eye's settle on what has you freaking out, they widen, his body tensing, "This isn't a joke right? This is real?"

"Yes this is real Aaron!" You scoff, "You think I would joke about having two babies growing in me right now?!"

Aaron doesn't answer your rhetorical question, removing one of his hands from your waist to grab the sonogram from you and inspecting it closer. It's silent for a few more moments, before a small smile graces his face as he looks back towards you, "This is great!"

You give him an incredulous look, "Great? You aren't the one that has to carry around two children, Aaron! Two! This wont be like with Charlotte, this is two, of everything. We're never going to sleep again!" You throw your hands up, getting out of his hold.
