28-ARRIVAL

The next day...

"I can't believe we woke up so late today," Alora said as she brushed Devine's hair

"3 pm isn't late on a Christmas day," Axel said winking

"It's just the ball is in a few hours and I wanted to bake some Christmas cookies with Devine"

"We can bake them tomorrow!" Devine said excitedly

"Sure ofcourse"

Alora continued to fix Devine's hair for the ball.

"All done!" Alora said

Alora handed Devine a small mirror so she could see.

"I love it!" Devine said

"I'm glad you do," Alora said

"Come on Devine let's get you into your dress," Annika said walking into the living room

"Okay!" Devine yelled

Alora got up and checked the time, It was already 5 pm and the ball was starting at 7 pm. Alora rushed to the bedroom so she could get ready for the ball herself. She slipped into the off-shoulder dress. It was black and beautifully decorated with little gold sparkles at the top. The bottom was flowy and long.

Alora quickly fixed her hair into a low bun, she brushed through her 4b hair and added gold hair accessories. As she finished her hair she decided to move on to applying some light makeup.

Axel walked into the room and admired her.

"You look beautiful," he said as he walked closer

Alora blushed she looked at Axel from the mirror. He was dressed in an exquisite look black suit with a lovely gold tie.

"You don't look bad at all" Alora said

Axel wrapped his arms around her waist and placed a gentle kiss on her ear. He suddenly let go and took something out from his pocket.

"Close your eyes for me," Axel said

Alora closed her eyes, Axel placed a gold necklace around her neck.

"Open"

Alora opened her eyes and smiled widely as she looked at the necklace in the mirror.

"It's beautiful," Alora said

"You make it look beautiful," Axel said

"Are you finished as yet?" Axel asked

"Yes," Alora said

"Don't forget your mask" Axel said

Alora placed the black and gold mask around her eyes

"All done now," Alora said

Axel handed Alora a gun

"Hide this in your dress okay?" Axel said

Alora nodded and did as followed.

"Okay let's go," Alora said

Axel took Alora's hand walked down the stairs. They exited the house where everyone else waited.

"So beautiful," Mara said

"No stand there I need a photo," Manuel said

Manuel took out his phone, Devine ran into the picture so she could be a part of it

"Oh how cute!" Manuel said

"I'm sending them everyone!" Manuel added

"Come on let's go," Mara said

They all got into different cars and drove off into the streets of New York. To the Masquerade Ball held at NYC Banquet Hall.

1 Hour Later...

The cars finally arrived at NYC Banquet Hall. The place was beautifully decorated with Christmas decorations and lights. There were other mafias already entering and beautifully dressed with a mask to match.

"Wow!" Alora said as she stepped out of the car

"Even with all these lights and decorations you're the only one that stands out most to me," Axel said

Alora giggled

Axel lifted Devine and held Alora's hand as they walked into the Banquet Hall.

"Axel Santiago?" The security asked

"Correct, my wife and a very special guest as well," Axel said

"Congratulations! I didn't know you got married" The Security said

"There's alot of things unsaid" Axel winked

"Come on let's go" Axel held Alora's hand tighter as they walked past different mafias

Axel could recognize them all but to Alora they were all strangers. Axel finally spotted his parents, they were talking to the Gravano's. Along with them was their son Rome but he noticed Annika next to him. The two were both very flirty with each other.

Axel walked over to them in a rush, Alora was confused but still followed him.

"Oh Hi Axel" Annika said nervously

"What's going on?" Axel asked

"Just tell him," Farrell said

"Your sister and I have been dating for a while," Rome said lowly

Axel chuckled

"Please don't be mad Axel," Annika said worriedly

"Mad? I'm more than mad" Axel said

"Axel!" Alora said

"I'm excited," Axel said

They all chuckled,

"It'll be good to have our families close and connected plus Rome is a great killer just like you," Axel said

"You scared me, Axel," Annika said

Meanwhile...

A tinted black car parked outside, Nash and Lucy stepped out of the car. Lucy had on a red wig so no one could recognize her. To match she decided to go in a red and black dress. Nash had on a black suit with a red tie to match.

"Let the ball begin," Nash said
