Vampire Mates
7: Day One

Rosemarie’s Point of View

I waved goodbye, shivering as the icy wind nipped against my skin. Lily and Dana waved just as enthusiastically as they boarded up the bus. Apparently their bus leaves at 6 in the morning while Bryan's left at 11.00.

You'd wonder why they have such amazing trips. Well, this school is absolutely loaded. Our science labs were fully equipped and once, some scientists came here to study about something. Go figure.

They sent me a kiss and I smiled, sending them back one from myself. Bryan's wrapped his hands around my waist, making me smile to myself. He pecked me on the nose. I looked back and saw Demetri, glaring at the bus Lily and Dana had gone on while rubbing his reddish nose. Hmm... weird.

"I'm going to my apartment to check my stuff, kay?" Bryan asked. I nodded and smiled as he took off, but not without giving me a quick yet sweet kiss on my lips first.

I jogged my way to the lift and went up to my floor, unsure what to do next since the school called the whole week off because most of the students had went on the trip.

I slid in the card and opened the door to my apartment and went in. Closing the door behind me, I blew a stand of hair that had fallen out of my ponytail. I was dressed simply in a hoodie (that I had slept in since I was too lazy to change out of it, 6 AM in the morning) and a pair of loose jeans and my Toms, and my hair was thrown into a messy ponytail, and my face was make-up free.

I probably looked bad. But who cares.

Well, you wish Demetri did, a voice in my head retorted. I ignored that part of me.

I plopped myself in front of the TV, the old couch creaking lightly from my weight and switched the television on. ‘Bunheads’, a TV series, came up on Star World.

Somewhere through the show, the doorbell suddenly rang. I set the bowl down on the countertop and went out. “Coming,” I bellowed before opening the door. As I realized who it was, I smiled.

“Bryan," I chirped happily as he gave me a quick hug before coming into the apartment. I closed the door and went to get the popcorn. As I went back to the living room where Bryan was seated, I grinned—the thought of having a boyfriend was nice. I had never had a boyfriend before, seeing that I was more of the Plain Jane than the outstanding, confident girl, also known as Dana Ackerman.

Bryan push away a strand of my hair, his fingers brushing over my cheeks before attacking me with sweet butterfly kisses.

Not knowing how, we ended up making out in front of the TV, and I liked it.

Even though most of the time, my mind was on someone else.

Demetri's POV

I sucked in a deep breath and practically rubbed the whole disinfectant all over my face. My lips burned like hell and I felt like a hand was on my hair. Not tugging on my hair, but full-on pulling and groping.

I cursed Lily as I rubbed more of the disinfectant on my lips. It wasn’t really helping much. Yeah, sure, it did work a bit, but just a little. Is she seriously making out someone? I mean, it's 9 o' clock, she's supposed to be flying in the air on a plane right now.

Did she really have a love affair?

I couldn't take it anymore! Knowing that Lily is my mate and that she's just there, kissing someone else made me jealous and angry. Closing my eyes, I concentrated deeply on my home, the palace, and opened my portal. I could feel the energy leaving my body, and getting converted and compelled into the portal instead. I stepped in it, before appearing into my room. Not my apartment room—my real room.
