There are unpredictable moments in life where you can't even understand what in the world was even happening. At those moments, there would be nothing but shock.
That was exactly what Kakashi was feeling. The sight of Misa lying in a pool of blood and Naruto unconscious nearby had him going in hysterics and was about to lose his calm composure but the man was a Jonin. He skillfully held it in gritting his teeth . The metallic smell of blood was as disgusting as ever. It gave out such a strong smell that nearly made Kakashi throw up in disgust.

His knees felt weak as he slowly moved towards Misa and Naruto regaining his strength in his weak knees that refused to move an inch. They strangely felt heavier than usual. All the Jonin could hope was not to see or touch their cold bodies. He badly hoped that the warmth he used to sense from Misa's and Naruto's radiation would come out. The poor man felt like he was stepping on glass barefoot. Nothing could explain the amount of fear Kakashi felt in that cruel moment. He had seen everyone close to him die. He had seen everyone die and no way in hell, could he bear to see Naruto's and Misa's deaths, the children who he had come to care and treasure so much.
He was afraid to see two souls lost in the ocean of tears and blood, ripped away from every safety and comfort, left alone in the icy cold. The loss would be big; bigger than something any blanket could ever compensate. His heart began to ache after many years as Kakashi moved slowly towards the two lifeless bodies.
Pakkun, the summoning dog of Kakashi lightly sneak a glance at the older Jonin and noticed how the poor man's hands were shaking and trembling. Underneath that mask Kakashi wore, Pakkun never the tones of emotions the man was hiding. The silent tears that never left Kakashi's eyes scared Pakkun. It was unbelievable to see how strong Kakashi was to hold back his pain even during the unpredictable situation where two of his children in the group might have passed away.
